When Rex arrived at the scene where the Swellow flock had clashed with the invading wild Flying-types, he was met with a rather grim sight. Both wild Pokémon and Swellow lay sprawled across the area, the aftermath of a fierce battle written in every scorched feather and torn wing.
Upon closer inspection, Rex was relieved to find that none of the Pokémon were dead—they had simply lost consciousness from their injuries.
Without wasting time, Rex called over the Jumpluff colony to help treat the injured. With this many wounded, relying on a single Jumpluff to cast Grassy Terrain would have taken far too long.
Soon, waves of healing energy began to spread across the battlefield. Many of the less severely injured Pokémon were able to stand again, though they lingered to receive full treatment. Now that the alluring scent of the rare berries had faded, they had regained their senses. Seeing Rex and the Jumpluff tending to them kindly, they realized they were no longer under threat.
Choosing reason over fear, the wild Pokémon remained until fully healed before taking off into the sky, casting one last glance of gratitude toward Rex.
He hoped that after this painful lesson, none of them would dare trespass into this territory again.
"You've done well, Swellow. Thank you," Rex said sincerely to the battle-worn flock.
The Swellow let out proud cries in response before flying off toward the orchard, no doubt to recover and rest.

Over the next few days, Rex spent much of his time assisting Yuri and the others with researching new Pokéblock formulas using the rare berries. Though "assisting" was a bit generous—Rex mostly played the role of an extra pair of hands. The real work was being done by the girls, especially Yuri, who had already mastered high-level Pokéblock crafting.
After tireless experimenting, Yuri finally discovered the optimal ratio for mixing Bluk, Nanab, and Pinap berries. The result? A vibrant, rainbow-colored Pokéblock unlike any they had ever seen.
These "Rainbow Pokéblocks" defied conventional classification by low, medium, or high quality. Their effect was astonishing—after ingesting just one, a Pokémon's internal energy spiked significantly for a short time.
To test their power, Rex selected a few standout Swellow and Poliwhirl for a trial run.
The results were immediate: one Swellow evolved into a majestic Swellow on the spot. Others showed notable strength improvements as well.
Rex realized the effects of these Rainbow Pokéblocks might even rival—or surpass—the Rare Candies from his past life's games.
With a stock of them now ready, Rex knew the strength of his Pokémon was about to take a major leap.
The greatest beneficiaries would undoubtedly be the Poliwhirl and Swellow colonies, who had worked the hardest in defending the farm and maintaining the rare berry grove.
There were limitations, however. Poliwhirl could only evolve further with an evolutionary stone or King's Rock, and Swellow, of course, could only evolve once.
As a reward, Rex gifted Yuri, Karen, and Hiro a handful of Rainbow Pokéblocks each, so they could boost the training of their own Pokémon.
The most ecstatic, of course, was Karen. She was convinced that with this boost, her Swellow would soon be strong enough to finally carry her through the skies.

The rest of the Pokéblocks were reserved for Rex's key team: Combusken, Chimchar, and Bagon.
Combusken was on the verge of evolving—Rex believed these Rainbow Pokéblocks would push it over the edge, resulting in an explosive leap in combat capability.
For Chimchar, the Pokéblocks would help greatly accelerate its evolution into Monferno, breaking free from its baby form and opening up new horizons in battle.
As for Bagon, the Rainbow Pokéblocks might be the perfect catalyst.
Unlike most Pokémon, Bagon's final evolution into Salamence required a massive buildup of energy and stamina, usually demanding enormous resources and time from a trainer.
But with these Pokéblocks, Rex could supplement Bagon's energy requirements substantially. As long as it could properly digest and harness the nutrients—and continue its rigorous training—it could dramatically shorten the road to evolution.
It took half a month of effort, but eventually, under Yuri's lead, the trio completed the full batch of Rainbow Pokéblocks.
According to their prearranged distribution plan, Rex gave the bulk of the supply to his own Pokémon and the loyal colonies on the farm.
Once the Pokéblocks were distributed, his Pokémon intensified their training, eager to make the most of their temporary boosts in power.

Meanwhile, deep in a forest somewhere in an unknown timeline, a Celebi prepared to travel through time.
It was the very same Celebi that Rex had once nursed back to health.
Though only a short while had passed in Rex's time, Celebi had already journeyed through countless time streams. Now, tired from its travels and filled with longing for the kind human who had helped it, Celebi yearned to return to Rex Farm.
Celebi's time travel abilities had two modes. One was random travel—completely unpredictable, throwing it into any time or place. The other was targeted travel, which allowed it to jump directly to a previously recorded time-space coordinate.
Thankfully, Celebi had recorded the coordinates for Rex Farm the last time it visited. This time, it would return there directly for a proper rest.
Every time Celebi traveled, it had to recover its time energy afterward. Rex's peaceful farm seemed the perfect place for a little vacation.
Celebi scanned the quiet forest one last time. Satisfied that all was safe, it began channeling its energy to warp through time.
But just as Celebi was about to disappear into the timestream, it felt something.
A small hand—gentle, yet brimming with mysterious energy—rested on its shoulder.
Startled, Celebi tried to turn around, but its time-travel was already in progress.
And then, the unexpected happened.
Space itself became sluggish. Time slowed.
Celebi, on the verge of failure, felt itself losing control of the jump… until that hand—the source of an immense, otherworldly power—began pouring energy into it.
The energy filled Celebi's exhausted reserves, stabilizing its ability just in time.
The space around them shimmered.
And in the next moment, Celebi—and the mysterious being who touched it—vanished from that time and place.
