Chapter 180 - Chapter 180

The sounds of drums conquered the darkening sky. Wheels of fire sent clouds of fog into the air, their wielders danced to the rhythm of the music they played continuously under the orange glow of the setting sun.

Running towards the source of the sound, Douma hid beneath the bushes whenever he got closer to the gathering within the tall oak trees. His grey kimono blended in with the shadows of the bushes and plants in the forest.

"They're not done yet. They won't be. As long as the Scorpion Lair hasn't gotten their hands on these precious minerals and gems, the blood that stained this land for years will continue to spread. Their resentment towards the Anemora Heights is everlasting." Lasalus' words played in the angel's mind, he had many questions with regards to the Scorpion Lair's presence in this land. Didn't they realize that if every mineral is robbed of its territory, the Anemora Heights won't have anything to provide them anymore?

Or were they just killing for sport? Narrowing his iridescent hues, Douma had to do what he was sent here for, and the outcome for this abysmal empire would leave them as the monsters they were to every living thing in this world.

"Nobody asked for this. When the Scorpion Lair conquered this island we didn't dare stray further from the boundaries of our village. They sent their strongest men to hunt down any Anemorian who steps into the uncharted territory, as a means to drive us out someday given the dangers we faced from our day to day lives. We couldn't recognize our home anymore, and we had our doubts about whether we could even reach the level of strength they held."

Someone from the crowd during Douma's meeting with the entire village showed him a spear covered in dents and bloodstains. From just one look alone, Douma could tell that an Anemorian couldn't have done something so vile, it had to be someone who relished the suffering and despair of their victims.

Hiding within the last bush that was facing the thrashing river, Douma observed the gathering within the trees. The blonde respected the determination that the Anemorians uphold through the years of torment and oppression. Some of them fought for their home, although there were those who perished by the unsuspecting thorn of death, it didn't stop them from holding onto the bravery they shared.

Bravery was a significant part of the Anemora Heights, the core of the village that kept it together.

Douma's gaze wavered to every aspect in his surroundings that stood out, because he needed to get to the gathering without being seen or heard; The bush was in front of an empty plot, it didn't stretch further but ahead lies a flowing river waiting for someone to step into the water and get torn to shreds by the group or dragged away to the relentless end.

I'm gonna have to sneak up on them in the air, that way they won't notice someone flying above them until they attempt a strike. That would be a mistake on their part. Backing away slowly, Douma watched the wheels of flame spinning aggressively along with the beats of the drums and melody of the flute turning into an eerie reverbed tone.

It'll be too late by then. They'll be stuck in a frozen state of fear. When that happens, Douma can start the confrontation and put an end to the Scorpion Empire which was only a mile away from this forest.

These people shared the same level of aggressiveness as the very creature they had heads for. Scorpions were deadly and meeting one with the traits of a being that usually avoided such life-threatening situations was another fear on its own.

Swaying back and forth in the air was the unsuspecting thorn of death, the very weapon that hid beneath the shadows, waiting to pierce the skin of its victims and erase their lifeforce before they could even react to the scorching venom flowing in their veins.

"Look! Her lifeforce has completely deteriorated!" One of the scorpion man yelled, he stared at the carvings on the drum hoping to see a shimmer but it never showed itself.

The other scorpion man hissed in frustration, the rattling sound identical to that of the most venomous snakes. "Why are we doing this again after 4 hours? Even my energy is deteriorating! There are other solutions, we're wasting time, the carvings have been unresponsive the entire time!"

"We'll do our best to fulfil captain's orders." Their comrade who continued the melody responded.

Douma was about to get up from where he was hiding when a sudden drilling noise tremored in the spot several feet away.

Emerging from the ground was a scavenging creature covered in a hoard of crystals. Its long ears sliced the grass like butter, the creature flailed the sharp ends around as a means to send a warning to anybody who dares step in its way. Those claws made of crystal dug the soil, leaving shoveled markings on the forest floor.

Alarmed by Douma's presence, the crystalized creature growled and fired shards of crystals in the angel's direction, causing him to leap away from the bush and get his golden fans out immediately.

The scorpion humanoids watched the scene in shock, displeased by this interruption which just so happened to reveal a foe.

Douma glanced at them for a few seconds, before retaliating against the flying crystals with the slices of his golden fans. The blonde's iridescent hues resembled the eyes of a hawk, sharp and dangerous.

There's no doubt the scorpion humanoids were threatened by his presence but they weren't going to let him ruin their plans.

"We've got an intruder!" One of the men cried.

Arrows engulfed in flames started raining down from the sky, Douma sprinted away from them while evading the crystalized beast that swiped its claws at him aggressively. It hissed in anger when none of the lashing swipes landed a hit on its opponent. Douma's movements were swift and calculated.

It was almost as though he could predict the beast's attack. Even the scorpion men were surprised by how Douma managed to dodge the arrows simultaneously.

Angel Cyrus always emphasized on having a silent coordination during a battle. The enemy won't realize they've overlooked on their opponent's capabilities; Even if the preparation for the incoming attack feels out of place given the situation, it'll be the least expected.

"Radiance!" Douma unleashed a beaming slash in the air which struck the crystalized creature's neck, causing it to hiss from the burning sensation in that particular spot.

This was the perfect moment to end the battle. Douma sprinted towards the crystalized creature, holding his golden fans with a firm grip when the crystal shards on the forest floor merged together and emitted a revolting refraction in his direction.

Moving away from this unwarranted obstruction, Douma kept a distance from the crystals and watched the beast trotting through the refraction. He got into a fighting stance while the arrows continued raining down in the battlefield. They never landed on the angel but they certainly weren't helping.

The crystalized creature absorbed the refraction and crystals, granting it a surge of energy. It summoned the fragile layers of its skin into the air once more and fired them at Douma who leaped away from both the crystals and arrows, knocking a few of them to the ground with his fans.

But Douma knew those crystals wouldn't stay down and as he predicted, they merged together and joined the rest of the crystals that were getting closer to the angel.

Every gem on the beast's skin glowed a bright shimmering blue as the flock of crystals in the air surrounded Douma and enclosed him in an opaque confinement. The scorpion men hollered when they saw their foe trapped within the crystals. If the battle concludes here, that means their only concern now was the crystalized creature.

Galloping towards the floating crystal, the crystalized creature prepared to lunge at it when several cuts appeared on the surface of the crystal, shattering it to pieces before the crystalized creature could even decipher what happened.

Douma dived towards the crystalized creature, his golden fans began radiating a bright gold just like the air slash from earlier.

"Focal Enigma." Casting an inverted shape in the air, Douma unleashed two golden sickles at the crystalized creature ahead of him. It stared at him in shock as the sickles struck its body, causing it to growl in anger.

Amidst the twitches in its nerves and the involuntary jolting from the unexpected attack, the crystalized creature was about to lash out when it suddenly froze, the colors on its body turned to a monotone shade of grey, it stood there with wide eyes displaying a look of horror.

The radiating sickles had done their job. Douma sped up in the direction of the petrified creature and leaped into the air. "Kaleido Ascension Style: Searing Skies!" Descending from the sky, the angel struck the crystalized creature from both sides, sending it backwards into a tree.

Displeased by their foe's emergence, the scorpion men resumed their launch of arrows across the flowing river. The angel summoned the radiating air slash that burnt off most of the arrows, with the remaining arrows puncturing the ground and putting off the fire that engulfed them.

A blurry figure bolted towards the angel, narrowly missing his arm. Douma spun his head around and saw the crystalized beast gnarling at the dirt clogging its fur.

The crystal layering on the beast's skin emitted a light pinkish glow. Taking a step back, Douma watched the animal summon four large boulders embedded with gems and minerals into the sky.

"It's stabilizing its energy. That's why it's not in a state of fright anymore." Douma looked up and saw a crystalized blade inching out of each boulder like a serpent. The sharp ends of the blade were pointing directly at him.

At that moment, Douma lifted his feet off the ground and soared up into the sky, the crystalized blades followed suite, waiting to pierce their opponent.

The crystalized creature as well as the scorpion men watched the angel gathering the crystalized blades together while they continued following him like a pack of hungry animals.

Once the crystalized blades started closing in on him, Douma took out a familiar item from his pocket and threw it up casually, the crystalized blades changed their course of direction, darting towards the crystal in the air and colliding with each other, resulting in numerous shards of crystals raining down from the sky.

The four boulders vanished into thin air. Gritting its teeth in anger, the crystalized beast lunged at Douma, lashing its tail at the angel who immediately hopped away from the opaque daggers inching towards him.

The crystalized beast paused and clenched its claws. It looked up at Douma with those malevolent glowing red eyes and drenched fangs.

Similar to the light pink glow on the crystalized layering on its skin, the crystals started glowing a bright amber accompanied with dark linear patterns.

Observing this strange behavior displayed by his opponent, Douma was about to proceed with his next attack when a deep cut appeared on both of his knees, leaving a bleeding gash and scattered crimson stains on the ground.

Douma stared at his injuries in disbelief, the beast's tail didn't even hit him. But the cut had to belong to a sharp object. The amber glow resurfaced in his mind again, the deep cut appeared after the beast awakened this strange phenomenon.

Realizing the beast's intentions, Douma was about to fire another radiating air slash to push the beast away when it pierced his wounds with a single swipe of its tail. Douma hissed in pain when the crystalized daggers started digging into his flesh.

The crystalized beast roared adamantly, it watched the angel instinctively crouched on the ground from the aggravating pain in his knees. Crystals began sprouting out of his wounds, keeping him rooted on the ground as the muscles and tissue in his knees turned numb.

Douma panicked, he tried pulling each crystal out of his skin but every time he broke one of these crystals another replacement pops out in the same spot. This can't be happening. There's gotta be a way to get rid of them.

Battle-hungry claws started approaching the angel. Taking his golden fan out, Douma shoved a mass of dirt into the crystal beast's face.

The beast snarled in a frenzy, fighting the irritation in its eyes. It clawed continuously at its face, leaving streaks of blood on its fur.

Meanwhile, Douma waited for the last rain of fiery arrows to draw closer. When the nearest arrow was about to plunge the ground, Douma grabbed it and torched the crystals emerging from his knees with its fire. Burning the entire crystals' being and their nervous system within the glacial structure.

The crystals melted leaving a pool of glowering liquid on the forest floor. The last two arrows plummeted into the ground, their fire died on the spot.

As Douma regenerated his wounds, the crystal beast shook its head to rid away the dirt on its fur and shot a glare at the angel in front of him. The beast slowly trotted towards Douma, unsheathing its claws when one of the scorpion men shrieked when he realized they ran out of arrows.

"We're out of arrows!"

"If that's the case we'll have to take care of things ourselves." Two of the scorpion men grabbed their weapons and began tiptoeing towards the violent stream.

Glancing at the crystal beast, Douma narrowed his iridescent hues and shoved another pile of dirt at his opponent again. Causing another obstruction in the creature's view which left it tumbling near the river and then falling into the treacherous waters.

Stopping in their tracks, the two scorpion men watched the creature getting swept away by the merciless stream. There was a hanging branch ahead, meters away from the drop where the end of the waterfall was.

Douma saw the large hanging branch and decided to follow the crystalized beast with a plan in mind, one that would guarantee the end of this battle.

When the branch appeared at the corner of the crystal beast's eye, it began swimming towards it, battling the current that pushed it further from where the creature was afloat. It's paws relentlessly thrust its body towards the direction it was swimming until the branch came closer in view.

Just as the crystal beast was about to lay a claw on the hanging branch, a golden fan sliced it into two pieces that fell into the water instantly whilst getting swept away from the creature's reach.

Whimpering helplessly, the crystal beast soon found itself at the end of the waterfall, turning its head around to see the height of the drop behind it, the crystal beast let out a roar as it fell from the cliff and sank into the lake below.

Douma caught his golden fan and observed the crystal beast desperately swimming up to the surface of the lake. Its head popped out and with an agitated flick of its ears, the crystal beast stepped onto the boulder beside the lake and lifted itself up from the cold water.

Shaking its body and tail, the crystal beast gazed upon its surroundings warily before running into the forest.

The scorpion men froze when they saw Douma making his way back to the other end of the forest. Hissing and whispering amongst themselves, they changed their plans and paced back to their camping grounds.

"Do something sir I think we're shorthanded now.

"These Anemorians leave me no other choice. This has to be one of their games." A larger and bulkier figure emerged from the shadows of their base. Leader of the group, the menacing scorpion man brushed the blade of his axe and scowled.

"It's settled, inform our captain about the plan, we're sending troops to Anemora Heights now. No hiding behind the trees or ducking beneath the rocks, send the troops to the entrance of the village and bring a whole lot of weapons because there could be other tricks awaiting us there."

The scorpion man in front of him whimpered. "Wait don't you think this decision of yours is going to lead to a turmoil? How do you know the troops are prepared for this, they could have other preparations at hand as we speak."

Gritting his fangs, the leader of the group looked at his comrades with dead eyes. "I'm in charge of the amenities and divisions here. Third in command to be specific, I still have control over your designations. Do not challenge my orders."

The frantic scorpion man was about to grab the capsule on the drum when one of his comrades jolted in shock.

"Where did he go?!"

All the scorpion men froze when they realized Douma had completely vanished out of sight. They looked around, eyes landing on every tree in the distance, even the treacherous river but he was nowhere to be found.

Hiding within the leaves and branches of the tree right next to the camping grounds, Douma stayed still, holding the shimmering crystal and maintaining the eerie silence instilled upon the venomous group below him. The tree was covered in specks and shards of crystals from the earlier events. The magnetic force between the crystals was still strong enough to lure other surrounding crystals towards them.

Douma threw the crystal in his hand at one of the scorpion men, sending him to the forest floor. His comrade spun around fearfully, screaming and making a run for it when hoards of gems swarmed him like a colony, engulfing the rest of his comrades who rushed over to their fallen teammates.

The leader of the group glanced behind him and saw the angel landing on the ground from the large tree. He huffed in anger and lashed out his axe that was attached to the rattling chains around his wrists. Hidden beneath his muscular arm was another axe waiting to be sent flying in the air.

"You're not getting away. My blades have you locked on." Loosening the chains around his wrists, the larger scorpion man thrashed his axe forward, splitting a scar on the tree trunk at the corner when Douma dodged it.

Douma raised his golden fan that illuminated the orange glow in the horizon, "Who said I was getting away?"

The scorpion man began swinging both of his axes in Douma's direction, the angel ran up the tree behind him and leaped forward, narrowly avoiding the blades and chains that would've snarked him from the tall grass.

Squinting from the foot to his face, the scorpion man flailed his arms around and backed away. The two axes in his grip sliced the drums and instruments, knocking them over until a pile formed beside the campfire.

"No! The ocean's concealment has been destroyed. What have you done?!" The scorpion man stomped towards the angel. "That was the key to almost everything this island has to offer. You meddling rat, who are you and why are you intervening with our plans-

A golden fan sliced the scorpion man's arm, forming lose threads that held onto the painstaking arm for life.

"This island isn't a goldmine for your games. For someone who's just barging into other territories, you seem reluctant to admit that your schemes are just a disappointment after another... to your captain who is also terrible at forging a strategy." Douma fiddled with his golden fan, looking around boredly.

"And that's because, you guys have no idea why you're even on this island in the first place. This island doesn't wanna connect with you guys either. It's pathetic really, to be somewhere that doesn't even wanna have anything to do with you."

The scorpion raised a disapproving eyebrow at the angel, he tightened his grip on the loose ends of his axes, questioning his status as the third in command and the captain's thoughts on this coordination. But most of all, he couldn't stand the words that came out of the angel's mouth. It was foul and bitter. Never had anyone spoken to him in such a manner.

"You dare act tough with me? Given my rank I don't back down in a fight, in fact I shouldn't. Why should I be afraid of you? Without this threshold you have on the fate of my comrades, you're nothing. Just a measly intruder who doesn't know what he's on about. The Scorpion Lair sheds no fear." Spinning his axe in the air, the scorpion man swung the axe that his remaining functional hand could reach, lashing the blade at Douma's direction.

The angel jumped up and bolted in random directions, watching the chains struggle to keep up, they wrapped around the scorpion man's upper body and neck, constricting him once the pressure got to him. Despite the armor he had on that was supposed to protect him, it didn't fend him from the cunning adversaries he overlooked on throughout his time as this feared figure among his regular comrades.

Chains extended from all corners, the scorpion man flinched when he saw Douma standing in front of him with a smug look. When he tried to speak, the chains around his neck strangled him as he started gasping for air.

Douma watched the scorpion man battle with his own weapons, Angel Cyrus conducted practices that involved fighting these kinds of forces to allow him to maneuver around with his surroundings during future battles. "The enemy's weapon plays him out if he can't utilize the distance during that spur moment." Angel Cyrus' words were engraved in his memory.

The axe started flying around in the air uncontrollably, it stalled the scorpion man's venomous tail on his head and sliced it clean off.

Screeching in pain, the scorpion watched his tail fumble to the ground, splattered in its venom. Douma walked towards him, the footsteps sending an adrenaline through him.

The scorpion man crawled towards the capsule on the floor when he heard the voice of his captain. "Deploy the cannon- now! At the gates, we need several launches facing the Hollow Forest and Anemora Heights! Sink that portion of the island once and for all until their precious treasure starts floating! Don't let them-

Douma stepped on the capsule, crushing the object with a sly smile on his face. "Thanks for all the details. I needed that information, you spit them right out before the interrogation started."

The angel walked away, leaving the scorpion man and his comrades lying on the ground in defeat. He got his golden fans ready as he ran down the path leading to the Scorpion Lair.

Which happened to be right around the corner. The sky was getting darker, Douma took care of things fast. The rest of the troops that the scorpion man mentioned to his comrades weren't even aware about the events near the river.

After a few minutes of running and keeping himself hidden from the guards, Douma arrived at his destination; A dimly lit fortress within a stone wall that kept the residents from seeing the world beyond their defenses. Dozens of guards were stationed at the gates, standing under the torches placed on the walls where the boats were leaning against with the ropes and crates lying around.

This society embraced war, even their regime shared a resemblance to the concurrent events of despair inflicted upon the environment it had a presence in. Douma spread his wings when he heard the muffled sounds of the scorpion men discussing about a heavy object they were carrying to the gates.

It had to be that cannon. Regardless of whether they were going to challenge him with this weapon of theirs, Douma had to put an end to this war.

Spreading his wings, Douma took flight and soared above the fortress within the dense forest of the island. The scorpion men saw the angel in the sky and lifted off the cloth that was covering the giant cannon.

A group of scorpion men rushed to the spot where the cannon was stationed with five cannon balls on the wheelbarrow. They placed the first cannon ball into their weapon and brought the lighter closer to their ultimate weapon.

"Change of plans, the intruder has arrived, we'll strike him down and then launch an attack on Anemora Heights. Know your priorities." The scorpion man with the purple thorned bands around his arms and torso gestured for the rest of his group to gather around the cannon.

"This should do it. I'll inform the General again, he should've been alerted about the situation by now." The Captain took out the capsule and directed the news to the General of Scorpion Lair one last time.

Douma's instigating gaze landed on the gathering below him. Spears and poles were thrown at him, the angel soared higher until the clouds overlapped their appearances. He found this arrangement ridiculous, there's a reason he's in the sky while they were preparing this ultimate weapon that they wanted everyone to fear.

The scorpion men lit up the fuel of the giant cannon. Rushing to their positions, they faced the cannon up and directed it at Douma who started charging up an accumulation of energy in the sky.

"There's nowhere to run. This'll be your last flight angel." The captain narrowed his eyes at the figure in the sky, every conversation he had with his men about the enemy they were up against didn't faze him despite the numerous doubts the scorpion lair had when Douma got to their fortress. "You don't scare me, you will never scare us!"

"FIRE!" The captain's men screamed, launching their attack.

At that moment, Douma unleashed a bright iridescent ray of light at the fortress, igniting the cannon before the cannon ball could even taste the freedom from being encapsuled in the machinery for what felt like an eternity.

The explosion in the middle of the Scorpion Lair resulted in an inverse force sinking the entire fortress into the sea.

"Retreat! The Scorpion Lair is sinking!"

"We have to get out of here!"

Landing on the ground, Douma stared at the fortress that was in shambles now. The west of this island was about to be consumed by the sea which seeped into the cracks left behind by the rocks and landmass that was once there.

Retreat? With his golden fan covering the bottom of his face, Douma glanced behind him, the Scorpion Lair was sinking deeper into the sea, the boats could barely get the scorpion men out of there. Where are they running off to? Is their empire just some placeholder to them? How embarrassing. They chose to live a lie.

Emerging from the shadows of the forest, Anemorians sprinted past Douma, heading to the fortress with their swords and spears. The captain of Scorpion Lair's army panicked when the Anemorians approached him, warning the humanoid that if he dare lays a finger on any one of them, he's finished.

The captain, lying on the ground, tried to crawl away but the Anemorians surrounded him with their spears facing him directly. He froze in disbelief, the very same people he tormented all these years were giving him a taste of his medicine.

Some of the scorpion men managed to get away from the collapsing fortress but not any further than the forest, the Anemorians caught up to them with visible anger for what the empire had done to their island.

The west of the island was submerged in water, the Anemorians watched everything that belonged to the Scorpion Lair sink to the depths of the sea swallowing the empire whole.

"Finally, we can venture around this island again like how we used to." Lasalus and the crowd admired their surroundings, it was clear that there was shift in the state of the environment. There wasn't any sign of danger or malice anymore, the island was embracing the freedom it longed for.

"Thank you for everything Douma." One of the villagers in the crowd said calmly, the Anemora Heights couldn't thank the angel enough. He saved them from years of fear and oppression.

Nobody thought this day would come sooner. They sat in sorrow frequently, thinking about the day where help arrives and breaks the chains around Anemora Heights. Chains that were never meant to be there in the first place.

"Those vile creatures would've sank the Anemora Heights with that weapon of theirs and run away with our gems and minerals. If it weren't for your help, who knows what would've happened." An older man spoke, he carried the wisdom of the island and was immensely grateful. "That tsunami would've swept every one of us away, leaving the gems and minerals for their taking. That's bad enough. But who would've thought they'd create a weapon designed to await the downfall of their initial plan and rob us of our valuables and resources."

Douma looked at the crowd reassuringly. "Nobody should have to suffer in sorrow that's instilled upon a force that even the island is displeased with. They were never welcomed here, they knew yet they continued asking for their demise, and they got it." The angel said in a calm and subtle tone that sounded like a relaxing melody to the crowd's ears.

"All of you never had to live in fear, I can tell from the radiant glow on your faces now. Your kingdom is free and so is this island."

The crowd rejoiced with cheers and the happiness that erupted among them. "You're welcome anytime. Please do visit us again, we're located in the east of the island. Thank you once again." Lasalus spoke again.

"He saved us!"

"We get to live alongside the ores and gems of this land in peace."

"I don't even want these prisoners here but if it means keeping the island safe then by all means I guess."

Douma smiled as Anemora Heights celebrated their long-awaited victory. He completed his mission, a fulfilling one that shaped a bright radiant future for this island.

Later that night, Douma arrived at the location where Angel Cyrus would be meeting him. The blonde saw his sensei standing against one of the rock structures with a proud look on his face. Angel Cyrus knew the mission was a successful, he could sense the victory from a distance.

The sky was dark, two giant creatures were fighting to the brink of death. Flashes of lightning and the roars of thunder amplified the tension between these two creatures who were fighting for territory.

Firing a static beam at its opponent, the floating spore with one large eye in the center hovered away from the flying tarantula which had the thorax and abdomen of a dragonfly. Releasing strands of hair from its legs into the sky, the tarantula hybrid and the extraterrestrial spore continued clashing with one another, their attacks leaving dire effects on their defenses.

Douma approached the knight shrouded in the shiniest armor casted with nobility and the fighting spirit he wanted his students to live up to. Since the fighting spirit always creates winners in battles when the individual puts their heart and mind to it.

Taking off his helmet, Angel Cyrus grinned with a thumbs up. "I knew you had it in you. Throughout the trainings and lessons I taught you, I could see the potential you had it was just a matter of time until you discovered that potential and use it to the fullest when the situation is in need of such morales and power." Angel Cyrus crossed his arms, satisfied with the outcome of the battle and his decision to give Douma the chance to lead his own mission.

"Douma you learn fast. It's remarkable, I'm proud to have you as my student."

Thunder roared again, shaking the stone structures subtly until they returned to their frozen state. Douma was grateful to have obtained the techniques he learned from Angel Cyrus, having his own skills form an alliance with his sensei's teachings raised his progress exponentially, and he could see the elevation during the events of this mission.

"I've formed a stronger connection with my own tactics and the strategies you taught me. They work together in harmony, protecting the innocent and forging a strong sense of ambition." Douma gazed upon his golden fan. Thinking about the recent events and the lives he saved; An entire kingdom and an island whose call he must've heard during his journey.

"Responsibility is crucial in every aspect of battle and survival. I believe I've overcome my fears during this mission, no matter how challenging the situation is, I will always make sure the innocent find the spark in their lives eventually. It's always been there, they just need to grab it without anything holding them back."

Angel Cyrus nodded in approval, "Now this is what I meant, you've always had that fighting spirit waiting to be unleashed at the most crucial time. It heard you and became a part of your weapon. Congratulations on completing your mission, you did tremendously well." The angelic knight's brunette hair was hidden by the helmet placed over it. He stepped away from the stone structure, thinking of another plan he had in mind.

Given the events that happened today, Douma was going to utilize his courage to continue upholding the morales he bestowed upon the horizon. This is what it means to form a bond with the weapon that fights for justice alongside you, the wielder who embraces the potential within.

"There's a very important technique that you need to master quickly." Angel Cyrus spoke firmly. He looked at Douma who was blinking curiously, it sounded urgent, the blonde wondered what this was about.

"Instead of switching forms, you can just stay in the former while maintaining a sense of control over your powers. If you can grasp this ability now, then you truly are the miracle of the cosmos."

"Control over my powers in my regular form...?" Douma questioned, the blonde found this plan perplexing. He just completed his mission, was there something else he needed to familiarize himself with during the same time period?

Angel Cyrus crossed his arms, "If you're up for this challenge, we could always conduct the session on another day. The key is to let your powers know they're fighting on your side." The angelic knight started walking away.

"Yeah I guess we could do that some other day." Douma replied confidently, there's always time to master new techniques, the blonde was certain of that. There wasn't any need to hurry, he just had a few more lessons before the entire training with Angel Cyrus concludes.

Which is true to some extent, but unforeseen circumstances arise at the least expected times occasionally. That was a response that Douma soon started to regret.

The ability to control his true powers was certainly important. He never realized how big of a role it played and why there was a sense of urgency behind it until the thought of this ability surfaced again down the line. He had to figure it out on his own and it wasn't going to be easy. These powers had a mind of their own too.
