Third person POV
And so, William and Raqua stood up and roamed the world in search of a suitable place to build their dream country. Along the way, Raqua scans her surroundings for any threats and is overprotective of him. William even used his phone for navigation. It turns out that he can charge it and his laptop with his mana, and they were connected to the Wi-Fi in his previous life. He was stunned by it, but he considered both of them as a blessing for his new life. And also, along the way, Raqua was stunned to see such high and advanced technology. But, she doesn't want to question him too much or else he would be annoyed and mad at her for that.
"What is that?" she asked him once. "Is that a thing from your previous life?"
"Yes, this is what I called a smartphone," William replied back. "It's basically a small thing where you can do a variety of things and it was powered by what I called electricity."
"Oh, okay."
That was Raqua's last response so she would not annoy him.
Then, they found a huge area of valleys east of Flandore, which was covered in grass and trees. There's also a river flowing through the area.
"Wow…" William responded. "This is so beautiful."
"Yes, it was," Raqua added.
Then, they saw a band of humans camping together near the river and under some trees.
It was midday when they found them.
"What the…?" William asked. "What are they doing here?"
Raqua shrugged. "I don't know. Let's go talk to them."
William agreed, and he and Raqua approached the party.
"Um, excuse me," he asked them, "are you guys humans, too?"
The band of humans looked at him and Raqua, only to get terrified of Raqua.
"Ah! Vampire lancanthrope!"
"Please don't hurt us!"
"Woah, woah, she's not going to hurt you or something," William tried to calm them down. "She's with me, so she won't hurt or something."
"Are you sure?" one of the humans, a young man, asked.
William smiled. "Yes, I am sure."
With that, the party was convinced, and William and Raqua sat down next to them to rest after hours of walking and roaming.
"So, what brings you guys here in the outside?" William asked them.
"Are you guys from Flandore?" Raqua added a question.
"We are from Flandore," another human, a woman with brown long hair and blue eyes, responded back.
"But we left because we don't like the environment there," the same young man from last time added.
"We understand," William replied.
"So, are you a human, too?" the woman asked him.
"Yes, I am, and my name is William Quezon."
The humans get his first name, but his last name is too hard to pronounce.
"Quezo?"
"Que?"
At this point, William realized that they might not understand his "foreign" last name, so he thought of a new one.
Eventually, he settled with the name Vivo. "Okay, my name is William Vivo, is that fine?"
This time, the humans nodded in agreement, and Raqua liked it as well.
"So, what are your names then?" he asked them.
"My name is Brid West," the same young man from last time responded, "this is my sister, Iris, and this is my cousin, Yale."
"Nice to meet you," Iris added.
"Nice to meet you, William," Yale added as well.
"Nice to meet you all," William responded happily.
"My name is Raqua Tana," Raqua said to them politely. "Nice to meet you, humans."
The small family accepted her greetings.
"So, how about you two?" Iris asked William and Raqua. "What are you two doing here in the outside?"
"You know it's dangerous out here without anything to defend yourselves," Brid added.
Yale then showed them his sword.
"I am an assassin," Raqua replied back.
The West family gets it now.
"How about him?" Yale asked her, directing to William.
"Oh! We were here to start a new civilization," William replied with confidence.
The family was shocked to hear of his seemingly ambitious plan.
"A civilization?"
"You mean, a completely separate city-state?"
"How are you going to that?"
"Yes," William responded while thinking. "Well, we can start off by being together and gather resources for things like shelter, food, and defenses."
"Defense?" Yale asked.
"Yes, it's for us to defend ourselves from the monsters like the lancanthrope. Fences are a good example of defenses."
"We wanted to establish another civilization where humans and vampire lancanthrope would live and coexist peacefully," Raqua explained in response, "I would like to see that where everyone has a free will to do good without being under someone's agenda."
Because of that, the West family were amazed by it.
"And I think this place is a good place to start," William responded.
"Sure, we can help you, too," Brid replied in agreement.
"Thank you so much, you guys."
