Chapter 889 - CH871 The Battle Of Nivara!!!

"Report this to His Majesty immediately." Eisenfaust said, "He needs to know before he arrives."

"His Majesty has been a Pseudo God King since the Ancient Era." Another Demon Monarch said, "This Titan Pseudo God Monarch should be weaker. With his power, suppression isn't in question. And once he arrives with his servants—"

The word 'servants' landed the way it always did. Even Eisenfaust went still. He didn't argue the point that the servants exceeded him, he knew that they did. Ancient entities, asleep in the Abyss for hundreds of thousands of years, now awakened for this war.

When the Demon Emperor arrived with them, plus the Four Elemental Lords and the Dark Titan Legion, nothing on the Endless Continent would be capable of turning the tide.

"Accelerate the transmission." Eisenfaust said, "The Burning Legion and the Twelve Demonic Armies are to arrive as fast as possible. Get word to His Majesty, we want him here sooner rather than later."

"And the Great Aetherium?"

Temerith had been thinking about the Angels. She couldn't identify exactly why she disliked them so intensely, probably, she decided, because Angels were a God Class Race whose Holy and Light element Divine Power stood in fundamental opposition to the Dimensional Demons. Natural enemies at the bloodline level. The Fourth Demon Monarch said exactly that, and she found herself nodding in agreement.

She would have felt differently if she'd known where her Natal Artifact currently was.

"The Angel Race is genuinely dangerous." Eisenfaust said, "A God Class Race with the Castle Faction's growth mechanics layered on top. They're strong individually, strong in formation and accumulate strength quickly. If they're allowed to mature, they become a serious long-term threat. Right now their total number is around two million and their overall strength is still weak. The twelve of us are sufficient to destroy the Great Aetherium and the Angel Race. We don't need to, or rather we shouldn't wait for His Majesty as that would give them more time to develop."

The Demon Monarchs agreed. What none of them knew, or rather what they wouldn't have believed if told, was that the Pseudo God Monarch they'd spent this entire discussion attributing to the Titan Pantheon was the ruler of the Great Aetherium.

The same empire Eisenfaust had just declared twelve of them sufficient to destroy.

If they'd known, they wouldn't have called it a plan. They wouldn't even have dared approach at all.

Back to the Endless Continent.

Four days into the war.

Everything west of the Nivara River had fallen. Tens of thousands of cities, noble territories beyond counting, all of it was under the Great Aetherium and Castle Faction's control now. The Light Empire had lost the western third of its territory in under a week.

But the core hadn't been touched. The eastern bank of the Nivara was where the Light Empire's real wealth sat—prosperous cities, mineral resources, a population that had built the empire's power over tens of thousands of years. Lose the west and they could recover. Lose the east and they would cease to exist.

Gladstone had understood this from the start, which was why everything the empire had left was now standing on the eastern bank. Nearly two trillion of them.

One-third were regular Imperial Legions. Disciplined, equipped, organized. The other two-thirds were supernaturals who had answered the voluntary call to arms. Truth-seekers couldn't be compelled the way believers of Faith could.

No divine authority could force them to sacrifice themselves. They came anyway. Supernaturals of every rank and age, from every corner of the empire, crossed to the eastern bank because their homeland was on the other side of the river and they had decided that mattered.

The defensive line they had built overnight was formidable. Hundreds of giant military fortress cities had been relocated to the bank by the use of Divine Power. They were the most powerful fixed defensive assets the empire owned.

Magic cannons, trebuchets, and giant crossbows lined the shore in layers. On the river itself, thousands of kilometers wide at its broadest which could be called more sea than river, hundreds of thousands of battleships and even modified civilian ships sat in formation.

A million airships also hung above them, including every commercial airship in the empire that could be fitted with a cannon. Sky, water and ground, every dimension was covered.

The Light Empire had put everything on the table except the True Gods, who stayed back to protect the imperial capital. If this line broke, there was nothing left to draw.

"We hold this bank." The commanders told their armies, "Let them come. They cross this river over our bodies or not at all."

"""Kill! Kill! Kill!!!"""

Two trillion voices roared and the sound carried across the water.
