Chapter 887 - CH869 A Bad Trade???

Haru's Divine Power reserves told a parallel story. Before the fusion, after reaching the peak of the Supreme God Tier, he had roughly 500 million points, already enormous, but now he has nearly eight billion.

Both his strength and reserves were distinct. Strength determined how hard each strike hit. Reserves determined how long he could sustain that max output. One clarification worth noting was that strength didn't dictate consumption.

An attack releasing 1 million points and one releasing 10 million points could hit with equal force if the coverage area and strike range were different. At nearly 8 billion points, depletion in the upcoming war simply wasn't a realistic concern.

He'd spent 46 million Divine Crystals. The Divine Power gain alone, over 7 billion points, would have cost tens of millions to replicate by other means, not counting the improvements to his Law origins. The remaining 57 million Divine Crystal reserve was intact enough to keep the Reincarnation Pools running without interruption. It had been the right call.

His current goal was clear: suppress the Demon Emperor, defeat the Abyssal Army, then lead the Castle Faction directly into the Abyss and conquer it.

One thousand four hundred and forty-five law sources. In the entire history of the Endless Continent, no God had come close. The Goddess of Storms, one of the more celebrated cases in the Nature Pantheon, had mastered two law sources simultaneously, Thunder and Wind, fused into a single Law of Storm.

Mastering two was considered exceptional. A second source was only possible when two compatible Laws could be fused into one, because ordinary Godheads couldn't hold two distinct attributes separately. Even then, the result was technically still a single fused Law source, like how the Goddess of Storms only had one Law of Storm and not the two separate laws.

Haru had 1,445 separate Laws coexisting in a single Godhead. In the Pantheon of ancient times, nothing like it had existed. Across the entire universe, comparable cases should only be a handful at most.

From his target of acquiring ten thousand laws in total, Haru currently held roughly one-seventh. A little above eight thousand five hundred remained.

He'd mapped the progression. At three thousand sources, his strength would become genuinely comparable to a Pseudo God Monarch wielding a God Monarch Tier Law. At ten thousand, acquiring roughly all the laws, his strength at the Peak Supreme God Tier would match a genuine God Monarch's.

And if he then ascended to the God Monarch Tier on top of that foundation, he would be the strongest God King in the universe. This would be a statement of fact, not mere ambition.

The planet nicknamed the Immortal Dimension came to his mind, the place where Wojciech, the God of War, had been suppressed, learned of from Christine. He hadn't forgotten it. He wanted to see if those so-called 'Immortals' were similar to the novels he had read back on Earth.

But this was for later. Much later.

He looked up and his gaze traveled hundreds of millions of kilometers to the Blood Moon, passing through to the core where all the Demon Nests had been activated.

The Demon Monarchs had completed the connection to the Abyss and transmission was underway. The core was already dense with demons, like an ocean, and that was just what had arrived so far. The Abyss was still sending.

This invasion would be larger than the Ancient Era by a significant margin. Every surface region and every underground region would eventually see Abyssal forces. Even the weakest races would be dragged in. There would be nowhere to wait it out.

He assessed the situation with his current strength. Breaking through the Demon Emperor's barrier and entering Blood Moon's core to destroy the demon nests was possible. Engaging all twelve Demon Monarchs simultaneously and inflicting heavy losses was likely achievable too.

But Svetlana had been clear about the Blood Moon. It was integral to the Endless Continent's stability. A battle of that scale inside its core would probably destroy it, and the resulting catastrophe would devastate the Endless Continent's population. Trading damage to Demon Nests for a continental disaster wasn't a trade worth making.

They got to keep breathing for now. He pulled his gaze back.
