"This is indeed the heart of a Demon Nest." Haru turned to look at Christine. She was currently in her human form, wearing a purple dress. The only weird thing was that her hair was full of golden snakes, which constantly made hissing sounds.
These snake-hairs were her symbol. In the entire Endless Continent, she was the only one who held the title of 'Medusa'. The lore behind this was also quite interesting. She was originally from the Sea Clan but her current appearance was because of a curse.
Therefore, 'Christine' was her original name and 'Medusa' was like a 'cursed name' for her. Therefore, after becoming a Goddess, Christine gave herself the title of 'Medusa'. In the Endless Continent, the ones with the most similar appearance to Christine were the Nagas with snake-like tails. The difference was that the Nagas had hair similar to normal creatures.
Haru said bluntly, "This Demon Nest's heart is very important to me. I wonder if Her Majesty is willing to give it to me?"
Hearing Haru's words, Christine frowned and said, "Your Majesty, this is not a simple matter. It is a very dangerous Divine Grade Item. After I got it, I immediately sealed it up and prepared to hand it over to Her Holiness, the Goddess of Fate. I wonder what His Majesty will do with it?"
Christine wanted to know Haru's intentions. After all, if something went wrong, it would spell disaster for the entire Endless Continent because she knew that the Demon Nest's heart could help teleport Dimensional Demons from the Abyss.
For this particular reason, even in the Ancient Era, as soon as a God from the Endless Continent found this item, they would immediately destroy it to prevent a demon from rebuilding their nest with it.
The reason why she brought this one back was just to give it to Svetlana so that she could use it to explore the Demons' plans through the threads of Fate wrapped around the Demon Nest's heart.
"I have my own use for it." Of course, Haru would not explicitly tell anyone about the Myriad Starfall Tower. Instead, he said with a smile, "Don't worry, Your Majesty, as a Castle Lord, I am also a mortal enemy with the Dimensional Demons. Naturally, I won't harm the Endless Continent."
"This…" Christine hesitated.
Haru said again, "I will try my best to pay any price that Your Majesty might want."
He didn't mind exposing that he was desperate to get this item. After all, as High Gods, there was no need for them to act like ordinary mortal businessmen, arguing for a little profit. Transactions between Gods generally tend to be straightforward.
"I only have one demand." Christine pondered for a moment and said, "I hope that my Beast God Pantheon of Faith can form an alliance with Your Majesty's Great Aetherium. I sincerely hope to fight side by side with Your Majesty in the future Divine War."
Haru thought for a while and said, "I can agree on the premise that you don't hinder my war plans."
Christine immediately added, "Also, I hope that the competition for the God King's Throne remains fair!"
Haru said with a smile, "Your Majesty, it's not that I'm looking down on the Beast God Pantheon but if you want to compete for the God King's Throne, the chances of winning without a Supreme God are very low."
Christine was very stubborn and said, "The Throneveil Shrine has appeared many times and even the God King's Throne has appeared more than once. Supreme Gods and Goddesses fought for it every time but in the end, nobody managed to win. So I'd rather believe that us High Gods and even weaker Gods also have a chance!"
"All right!" Haru said, "Since Her Majesty insists, then I won't say much. Our alliance can be finalized on the terms we just discussed."
His meaning was simple. The two factions could indeed cooperate but as soon as a conflict of interest arose, then this alliance would be dissolved.
"Agreed!" Christine nodded and without any hesitation, she handed the Demon Nest's heart to Celestia.
After her inspection, she handed it over to Haru, who took it with a big smile and thought, 'Now I just need the Faction Conversion Architectural Blueprint and my Myriad Starfall Tower will be built successfully.'
Haru put the heart into his ring, looked at Christine and asked, "Why did Your Majesty Goddess just ask me to introduce you to the Goddess of Fate? Although I've met her once, she isn't residing in my kingdom."
Christine said, "Does Your Majesty not know? Her Holiness, the Goddess of Fate, Svetlana, and Her Holiness, the Elven Goddess of Nature, Elunara, have left their Divine Marks in the Angel City?"
"Oh, that I do know!" Haru nodded. In fact, he hasn't noticed it himself, but when Celestia became a peak High Goddess, she noticed the marks. Now, as a Supreme Goddess, Celestia could remove them but Haru stopped her because he wanted to see what the two Goddesses wanted.
Christine said, "Your Majesty can use the Divine Marks to contact the two Goddesses."
"I see!" Haru did not refuse. He also wanted to hear about the Demons' plans. After all, in his eyes, the Gods of Faith and Truth were far less of a threat than the Demons. It would be even better if he could learn the exact day of invasion from Svetlana.
