VALENCIA'S POV
I didn't stop running. Transforming from my cat back into my human form, I ran as fast as I could towards the direction of my house, not wanting to be caught.
They would've found out about my disappearance by now, and I didn't really have anybody to rely on to keep me safe.
However, I at least had some weapons and guns to kill the rogues back at home.
If I were dying, I wouldn't be dying without making any difference, just like I have always wanted it to be.
I would die a warrior, not a captive.
As I kept running, I nearly froze in my place, stumbling on my own foot when I saw a large shadow moving right from above me.
And no, it wasn't a normal wolf or any forest animal.
It was a bird.
My head instinctively turned to the sky to see what it was.
Was it just my imagination, or was that bird's shadow really three times bigger than me? No matter what the angle of the bird's flight was, there was no way it was supposed to have a shadow as big as this.
