Yao Ye picked up Little Baozi and sat him on his own lap to prevent Little Baozi from spying on his wife changing clothes. After Bai Lu took Shen Jiayin to the changing room, she came back and said to him, "Are you planning to show up at your grandparents' house empty-handed?"
"I remember there's a store that sells candied haws on the way. My grandpa loves those, I'll bring a few over." Yao Ye replied.
"Is that really okay?!" Bai Lu said he was being too careless.
Yao Ye laughed, "Come on, she brought so much cured meat and corn from the hometown. My dad already sent people over last night to move some of it, and it should have been delivered as a generous gift to my grandparents this morning."
It turns out he planned everything, leaving those unaware anxious. Bai Lu sighed inwardly at being caught off guard.
"What do you think of her?" Yao Ye asked her.
"My husband has no opinion about her, so why should I?" Bai Lu raised her eyebrows.
