The mother and daughter were gritting their teeth in silence together.
When the phone rang, Li Sisi picked it up with her uninjured hand and answered it.
"Sisi, something's wrong." It was one of Li Sisi's high school classmates, with whom she still had a decent relationship, calling and thus knowing a bit about her.
"What's got you all flustered, Yuyan?" Li Sisi interrupted the incoherent start of her friend's words.
Mo Yuyan said, "Someone called me asking what your relationship with Li Hanxiao is, and said that those rumors about Li Hanxiao are slanders. Isn't this pointing the finger at you?"
"Who?" Li Sisi was shocked, "Who called asking?"
"Just our high school classmates."
"Strange, we weren't even in the same class as Li Hanxiao. How could it involve us?" Li Sisi retorted, feigning calm, "Don't you think it's ridiculous? What does anything happening to Li Hanxiao have to do with me?"
