"Teacher Qing Yanjing, weren't you undergoing the Challenge Essence baptism? Why do you look so battered?"
Qing Yanjing scowled playfully. She had been so focused on observing Xiao Ze's progress that she hadn't had time to clean herself up.
With a surge of spiritual energy, the blood scabs evaporated, and her skin returned to its flawless, jade like state.
"I see you've gained a lot from this breakthrough," she remarked.
"It was a matter of timing," Xiao Ze replied humbly. "I waited for the perfect opportunity to ensure the best results."
As he glanced around the golden platform, he noticed how much fewer energy shadows remained.
"We owe this all to the Challenge Platform. Speaking of which, the senior must be waiting for us. Let's go."
A Master's Approval
Emerging from the golden vortex, Xiao Ze and Qing Yanjing found the Master of Yaoguang standing with his hands behind his back, a pleased expression on his face.
In just a few days, both had achieved the Great Perfection of the Earthly Supreme Realm a feat rarely accomplished so quickly.
However, the Master's gaze lingered on Xiao Ze.
While he might appear to have merely achieved the Great Perfection, the power concealed within him could very well cause even Heavenly Supremes to falter.
The Master smiled. "They've both reached perfection, but this boy… he's far beyond what he seems. A wolf in sheep's clothing, perhaps?"
