Upon being questioned, Azalea was about to respond when Veronica and Carmen emerged from the Town Hall.
"Guild Leader, I've brought her here because Azalea noticed my return and wished to compensate me," Carmen exclaimed as she rushed to his side.
She then whispered, "This Azalea got some information regarding Malefic Order and even gave me quite the compensation package."
When Xu Feng heard that, he knew what Carmen was trying to do. She didn't want him to misunderstand and believe Veronica was pushing his boundaries.
After all, Carmen knew full well that there was something that Xu Feng absolutely forbade.
Hence, she took the lead to clear the misunderstanding to ensure there would be no ruined relationship.
Sure enough, Xu Feng chuckled in amusement and nodded. Since Carmen had explained the matter, then he obviously wouldn't fault anyone else.
Despite granting Veronica much authority, he still trusted Carmen way more.
