"Is anyone there?" she shouted.
There was no response.
She called out several times, but no one answered her.
She tried to walk from the bedside to the window, yet, just one step away, she couldn't reach it.
Unable to reach the window, she couldn't see outside and couldn't make out what was in front of her.
The room was beautifully decorated, but empty, with not much furniture.
On the table was a bottle of mineral water, and feeling thirsty, she twisted it open and drank.
Whom did she offend? Was she kidnapped?
Without a clock, she couldn't tell the time.
The sky grew darker, and as night fell, she lay on the bed, drifting into a sleep.
In a half-wake, half-dream state, the room lights suddenly came on.
She then sat up, but immediately a hood was placed over her head.
She could see nothing, but she could still feel people around her.
More than one person.
"Come with me. You'd better cooperate with us, or my knife might make a random cut on your face."
