"Officer, have the people inside been rescued?"
Li Jiaqi asked the fire commander standing at the door in English.
"I'm sorry, no one has been rescued so far. The fire is too intense, and there's nothing we can do!"
The air was filled with the strong smell of smoke and dust. Li Jiaqi searched for a while, but was soon choked and coughed violently, her eyes streaming with tears from the irritation.
She stumbled around searching, when a pair of large hands reached out from behind, picked her up, and carried her to the beach before stopping.
"He Yingdong, put me down! Shiyu and Doctor Bai are still inside!"
He Yingdong pressed Li Jiaqi down onto the sand, but Li Jiaqi struggled desperately in defiance.
Watching helplessly as her friends burned to death in the fire, the feeling was truly unbearable.
He Yingdong's eyes reddened, one hand pressing her shoulder, "Are you crazy? The fire's so big, even the firefighters can't get in. Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
