After witnessing Huo Sining's gambling skills, a bunch of soldiers were eager to have a match with her, itching to see just how extraordinary their sister-in-law's gambling techniques really were.
However, they couldn't linger outside for long. This visit to meet Huo Sining was already a one-day leave approved by their political commissar, and staying overnight was technically against the rules, meaning they'd definitely face double training penalties upon returning.
But they were already used to double training penalties and didn't really mind it much.
Having met Huo Sining and enjoyed a drink with this sister-in-law, even though the battle was intense, these guys felt this outing was worth it, even if they got punished.
It's just a pity they didn't get to play a round of cards with the captain's wife.
But as Yu Fei wisely said, there's always tomorrow, and plenty of opportunities in the future to challenge this sister-in-law in gambling.
