After Gong Ting finished the meeting, he picked up his phone again. There were no missed calls on it, and his thin lips pressed tightly together. He let out a soft scoff, "Is your perseverance just two phone calls?"
He tossed the phone back onto the table, stood up, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, lighting a cigarette and slowly exhaling a puff of smoke. The midday sun poured its fiery light on him, leaving him somewhat agitated.
Secretary Zhou pushed the door open and saw the cold silhouette of the man. He hesitated for a second but still said, "President, the front desk just called. Miss Su wants to see you."
Secretary Zhou had sent the front desk girl away earlier. His heart had been uneasy all along, pondering back and forth. He finally decided to come in and tell Gong Ting, even if it meant facing his anger.
