Yan Daopo stopped at this point and refused to continue speaking.
"A little what?" Lady Zhang quickly asked.
"Madam, this..." Yan Daopo glanced at the few maidservants standing by, "There are young girls present..."
Everyone has a sense of curiosity, and especially with Yan Daopo saying this, Lady Zhang was even more eager to know what Yan Daopo was refusing to say.
"There's nothing much going on here, you don't need to serve me, all of you go out." Lady Zhang instructed the maidservants in the room.
The maidservants exchanged glances but did not move.
Lady Zhang remembered Lian Manman's displeasure and caution towards Yan Daopo; surely Lian Manman had instructed these maidservants not to let Yan Daopo talk to her alone, fearing that Yan Daopo might deceive her.
Lady Zhang trusted Yan Daopo, but she also trusted her own daughter, and did not want to easily go against her daughter's wishes. Seeing that the maidservants weren't leaving, she hesitated.
