With the banquet concluded and the guests gone, Will retired to his and Lyra's shared room to take a bath and spend some time with his daughter before climbing into bed wearing nothing but black boxers.
"I was surprised to hear you planned to create a task force. Do you think my father will agree?" asked Lyra, standing with her arms raised as a pair of Maids slipped a pale blue nightgown over her head and onto her body. Immediately after, the Maids offered respectful bows before departing to give her and Will some privacy.
"I know it's rude to answer a question with a question, but what do you believe is the most important thing to the Crown...?" asked Will, following Lyra's movements with narrowed, appreciative eyes as she made her way around to his side of the bed and sat next to him, allowing him to place his left hand on her left thigh.
