East Sea City.
People walking on the streets, aunties dancing in the square, and even office workers lounging at home all looked up at the sky. Then, their pupils constricted as they gasped in shock.
Petals, glowing faintly, drifted through the sky, forming a gorgeous sea of flowers.
Some tried to catch the petals, but they dissolved into specks of light upon contact, impossible to grasp. Others tried to photograph the marvel, but all phones and cameras, without exception, showed only static, as if being jammed.
"Daddy, it's so beautiful."
In a corner of East Sea, on a home balcony, a young man followed his son's gaze to the sky and was momentarily transfixed. He even forgot he was watering the plants, the watering can still pouring out water.
"Shi Lei, you're going to drown your flowers!" a beautiful woman called out in a delicate voice from a few steps away.
"Oh, oh." The man snapped back to reality and said, "Xiao Xiao, I'll take our son out for a walk to see the flowers."
