Story One: The Incident With the Pigeons
It started, as most things in Kraków started, with Nadia having an opinion.
"The pigeons," she said, standing at the window with her morning coffee, "are staging something."
Leo looked up from his eggs. Signed: *Staging what.*
"I don't know yet. But they've been reorganizing on that ledge for three days and the pattern has changed."
Leo got down from his chair and came to the window. He studied the pigeons for approximately forty-five seconds with the focused attention he gave structural problems.
