Chapter 395 - Chapter 395: New Place

The inn Clementine recommended stood proudly among the finely paved streets of Re-Estize's noble district. It wasn't gaudy like the mansions nearby, but its clean marble exterior and polished wooden doors spoke of wealth. After stepping inside, the difference was immediate.

As the receptionist saw the glint of my Orichalcum plate — a rare metal signifying high rank among adventurers — her demeanor shifted instantly. She straightened her back, bowed slightly, and spoke with crisp politeness, the way one might address a visiting noble.

There were no "Who are you?" looks. No "You don't belong here." sneers. Gone were the days of "Young Master" moments, where low-ranked adventurers were treated like commoners.

Money and status spoke volumes in this world.

We were led up a well-maintained staircase and into our suite.

The room itself was impressive compared to the dingy place we had stayed in E-Rantel. Two gold coins a night, Clementine had said. Expensive by this world's standards — luxurious, even. Plush velvet couches, embroidered curtains, and a bed so large it could easily fit three people without touching.

Solution and I, of course, barely reacted.

Compared to the absurd wealth of Nazarick, this was little more than a well-decorated broom closet.

"Hey," Clementine said, noticing our flat expressions. She threw her hands on her hips and gave an exaggerated sigh. "At least pretend to be excited."

I gave her a small smile but didn't comment. Solution, standing silently by my side, was about to speak when she paused and looked at me thoughtfully.

"My Lord," Solution said, her voice soft but formal, "may I ask for permission to call Lord Demiurge?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Lord Demiurge is currently in his laboratory, as per your order," she said with a slight bow of her head. "He instructed me to provide him with regular reports — once every two weeks — about your status and activities. It is time for the update."

I thought about it for a moment before nodding. "Go ahead. Better to keep him informed."

"Understood."

With another bow, Solution turned and left the room quietly, her heels clicking against the polished floor. She would find a secluded spot to make the communication; there was no worry about security. In this world, no one could tap into Nazarick's message systems.

Now, it was just me and Clementine.

The air shifted slightly, becoming warmer.

Clementine kicked the door shut with her heel, a sly grin forming on her lips as she turned toward me. Her usual rough and playful attitude seemed to soften, just a little, replaced by something more... provocative.

"So…" she drawled, sauntering closer, hips swaying lightly with each step. "Looks like it's just you and me, Master."

I didn't react much. After all, I was used to dealing with creatures who were far more dangerous — and seductive — than Clementine could ever hope to be.

Still, I wasn't made of stone.

When she reached me, she placed her hand lightly on my chest, tracing slow, teasing circles with her fingers.

"You know," she said, voice low and husky, "you could show your new subordinate a little appreciation."

I caught her wrist gently, my movements smooth and deliberate. Clementine's eyes sparkled with excitement, clearly enjoying the game.

"No need to play games," I said, my tone calm.

I leaned down slightly, closing the short distance between us, and captured her lips in a firm kiss.

Clementine froze for just a fraction of a second, surprised by how direct I was. Then she melted into it, her body pressing against mine, responding eagerly.

Our kiss wasn't some awkward, fumbling thing. It was confident, clean, and full of unspoken intent. I wasn't some blushing virgin, after all — I knew exactly what I was doing, and Clementine appreciated it.

When I pulled away, she looked up at me with flushed cheeks and a dazed expression, biting her bottom lip slightly as if savoring the feeling.

"Damn..." she muttered under her breath, a wide grin breaking out across her face. "You don't waste time, do you?"

I just shrugged lightly, wiping the corner of my mouth with my thumb. "If you're going to make a move, better to be clear about it."

Clementine laughed — a real, genuine laugh, not her usual mocking giggle — and flopped down onto one of the room's velvet couches, stretching her arms lazily above her head.

"You're seriously dangerous, you know that?" she said, half-lidding her eyes at me.

I gave her a faint smile.

"I know that since Solution will come sometime after, we can continue what we are doing, or are you chicking out?"

Clementine's eyes gleamed at my words, like a predator who had just been challenged.

"Chicken out?" she repeated slowly, almost savoring the phrase. She chuckled, low and throaty, and swung her legs over the side of the couch, standing up with deliberate slowness. Her body language oozed confidence and provocation.

She stepped closer again, until she was just a hair's breadth away from me, craning her neck slightly to look up into my eyes. There was no hesitation in her now, only a bold, fiery eagerness.

"You really don't know who you're talking to, Master," she whispered, her breath warm against my skin. "I never back down from a challenge."

Her hands slid up my chest, fingers tracing the outlines of my muscles through the thin fabric of my shirt.

I didn't flinch or react, just met her gaze calmly, letting her do as she pleased.

This seemed to excite her even more.

"Most men would be begging by now," Clementine purred, her voice full of wicked amusement.

I smirked faintly. "Good thing I'm not most men."

Clementine grinned, a wicked, sharp-toothed smile.

For a moment, neither of us moved, the air between us crackling with tension — the kind of tension that could either ignite into something wild or fizzle out if one party hesitated.

But I didn't hesitate. Neither did she.

Clementine tilted her head, closing the distance between us once again, this time slower, savoring the moment. Her fingers curled into the fabric of my shirt, pulling me slightly toward her.

I let her.

Our lips met again — slower, deeper this time, a dance of dominance and surrender woven into one. Clementine pressed herself against me fully, her body soft and warm.

There was a different edge to her now. Less teasing. More serious.

As if, for the first time in a long while, she'd found someone she couldn't so easily toy with — and she loved it.

My hands slid around her waist, anchoring her close but not gripping too tightly. I wasn't rough. I didn't need to be. Clementine was the kind of woman who wanted to fall, if only someone strong enough was there to catch her.

Eventually, after a long moment, we parted, breathless but not exhausted.

Clementine leaned her forehead against my chest, laughing softly. Not mocking. Not cruel.

Genuine.

"You're gonna ruin me, Master," she whispered, half-joking, half-serious.

I just placed a hand on her head, ruffling her hair lightly. "You were already broken," I said casually. "I'm just... giving you a new shape."
