Everyone here is carrying a spy ID; there's really no need to put on a show of loyalty.
For Fu Qian, the group led by the master before him was quite the unexpected surprise.
Not only did they tell an interesting story, but they also showed a certain level of control over the Archipelago.
But if one were to take his story at face value, it would be an insult to one's intelligence.
The master before him seemed to be at roughly the peak of the Middle Tier, not much different from Old Master Lu at the time.
Considering the story told, it's possible he really could be one of the co-founders of the Rebirth Club.
Including the part about going on a trip to avoid disaster, only to return to utter ruin.
But that's the extent of it; valuable items are stored in a sealed-off lab, and they must be retrieved before anyone can leave.
And then because retrieving them is particularly dangerous, he needs to con some aspiring cannon fodder into doing the job.
