There lived a multitude of prehistoric races and prehistoric civilizations, although none have endured to the present, the ruins and races they created on this continent have continued to influence the entire world.
The most typical are the lizard types, including but not limited to Naga, War Lizard, Lizardfolk, Serpent People, and others, some of which have already gone extinct on Planet Toril. They were created as servants by the Saruk Witch Python Empire, so they are also known as the Creator Race.
They thrived on Planet Toril for over ten thousand years, until an unexpected catastrophe befell the planet, causing the continent to collapse in earthquakes, fires, and storms, drastically altering its sea and land formations.
During this process, life was as fragile as ants, leading to a second mass extinction of species.
