Those were miniature high-level Totem Spirits.
As they entered the Berserk Divine Power berserk state, miniature Kings of the Jackalweres emerged from within, and engaged in battle with them.
These high-level Totem Spirits were not easy to deal with. Before being slain by Uthgar, each had wreaked havoc, revered by sage beings as animal totem gods, with at least legendary strength.
After Uthgar achieved divine enthronement, they followed in ascension, becoming beings between gods and Divine Servants, more like deities, retaining their faith and boasting considerable power.
However, what they faced were not true Kings of the Jackalweres, but manifestations of their residual Divine Soul Marks, easily torn apart.
For each Divine Soul Mark of the King of the Jackalweres they tore apart, a thread of Berserk Divine Power transferred to them, and was then dispersed among the Uthgar Barbarians, finally returning to Uthgar.
