Many spellcasters are willing to do this not only because of faith in the Magic Goddess but also because there are tangible benefits—receiving blessings from the Magic Goddess.
This could mean increased ease of casting spells, additional spell slots, or even the possibility of gaining the Magic Goddess's favor, becoming one of her chosen, and so on.
It is said that the God of Mages, Azus, attracted the goddess's attention this way, first becoming her chief mage, using his spellcasting talents to conquer her, and eventually having her elevate him to a deity.
However, while the Magic Network provides spellcasters with a convenient learning path, it also somewhat stifles their ability to conduct magical research.
Most spellcasters only know how to consume ready-made spells, severely lacking in the ability to create new magic. Those who can gain the Magic Goddess's approval and have their creations inscribed in the Magic Network are truly few and far between.
