[3rd POV]
Project Godfall was an important step in Gwen's quest to become strong enough to battle Knull, and eventually they who are bringing about the Incursions. The Gods held powerful positions of power, and would give her a deep connection to the elements of the universe, and new domains.
Her power over her domains would never reach what they could, not until she began project Godfall.
The project itself was...simple enough really. But it was also dangerous, and had to be done very very carefully. As there were certain Gods she did not want to anger, and there were certain Gods she did not want to antagonize.
Not because they would be a problem for her, but because she wanted them to live, and to work with her. The primary Gods in that case were the Asgardians, as they were important to her plans, and quite frankly, she doubted she could beat them.
Not because of Odin, no, as the man was strong but not that strong. No, it was the ones who manipulate them from the Shadows. Beings of immense, incredible, nigh-omnipotent power that would likely obliterate her from existence if she was to cause too many problems.
And these beings could likely accomplish that.
But the other Gods? Yeah, she could take care of them. There were very specific Gods she was going after, as well. As she didn't want to just mindlessly slaughter every God like Kratos, as not all of them were bad.
But there were certainly a lot of Gods she'd need to take out. And there were also a lot of universes where these Gods were a problem.
She even had a list of Gods that she could go after, that being: Chernobog, Perun, Marmoo, Glory, Aswang, Whiro, Seth, and various forms of those same Gods. And this list even included various versions of Loki.
But there was one God on this list that Gwen was...a little hesitant about. This being...Cul, Cul Borson, elder brother of Odin.
He was a powerful God of Fear, and was very very dangerous. He was stronger than Odin, and would grant her immense power. But killing him also had the potential to incur the wrath of Odin. And while she was not fearful of the man, as she was confident in beating him, she was hesitant to catch the attention of those beyond the shadows.
The beings that caused Ragnarok and fed on its energy.
But...she understood that Odin likely would have killed Cul if he could, but he could not. He was not capable of it. But Gwen? Gwen was. And better than that, she knew exactly where he was. Afterall, he was in a prison deep within the Oceans of Midgard, aka Earth.
An easy target, one that would not be capable of fighting back if she tried to consume him.
There was also Hades of course, but he was a bit more complicated due to his nature as a Death God. And as a Death God, he was naturally connected to the cosmic entity, Death.
And she wasn't really sure how that being would feel about her taking over his realm and becoming the new God of Death in that area. If she would wish her dead. Or if Death would allow her to remain as the God of Death as long as she followed the Death God rules.
So, she decided she'd have to wait for that particular part, and instead, would focus on other universe's Gods first and then do the others. There was a wide multiverse out there, so finding one where certain deities were evil wouldn't be difficult.
And then she'd be able to consume that as she wished, without having to fear for potential consequences, as they'd deserve it. The only problem with this being the fact that the incursions were happening.
Incursions that she was actively hearing about from her people, as they were saving more and more people. To the point that she was likely going to need to create a new city in order to house all the humans they've been saving.
That, or the other plan she had in mind.
A dimension. She could repurpose one of the MANY dimensions she has conquered, and make it into an infinite dimension that would house humans, a safe space. But, she would need to rework the dimension as well.
She'd need to find a way of warping this dimension. Instead of it being connected to the universe as a whole...she wanted to find a way of connecting it to her. To house the dimension within her very being.
Meaning the Incursion would never be able to destroy this dimension, keeping everyone inside forever safe, as long as she lived.
And she was basically immortal to anything, so...that'd be forever.
Of course, actually accomplishing this required a lot more power. Hence Project Godfall.
Even with the incursions, there were a lot of universes to choose from. And thanks to the fact that the incursions themselves weren't happening that fast, she had a lot of time as well. As there were effectively infinite universes out there, even now.
She had already worked on creating literal God slaying weaponry, weapons that were imbued with the ability to counter the divinity of Gods. It couldn't and wouldn't work on all Gods, like Zeus, Odin, and the Skyfathers.
These weapons would allow her to kill certain Gods that were a lot harder to kill. Ones that had immortality as a literal aspect of their being, like a divinity that granted it. Death Gods were especially immortal, and she needed weapons for that sort of thing.
And once her symbiote absorbed these weapons, she could now kill Gods that might have been a problem beforehand.
At the moment she was using her connection to the Web of Life and Destiny, looking through the web in order to find the universe to go to. There was a lot of choices, but the one that caught her eye more than any other was Earth 1094031421. It was a universe where the Gods had entered into a "Great War" in which all the various pantheons of Earth began to go to war.
This war was brutal, deadly, and had almost wiped out humanity. All for control over three different infinity stones that were on Earth. Battling in order to get them.
Gwen wasn't much interested in the infinity stones, but she was interested in the Gods. The Gods of this universe were only slightly weaker than the Gods of her universe, and while there were no primordials or Titans involved, it would still be a fantastic start.
She was leaving infinity stones for the next project, which is project "TVA Stones". A project involving the TVA and the infinity stones that they held, as they did exist, but just didn't interact much with the greater multiverse beyond what they had to.
Gazing into the universe that she wished to travel to, Gwen hummed.
"This is the one. It'll be the best starter universe, and shouldn't take me more than a day or two to complete. I imagine I'll get a quest done from it too" Gwen said to herself, as she stretched and got to her feet, prepared to begin Project Godfall officially.
"The first target will be the Greek, they're strong and numerous. Not only that, but they have a lot of domains that I want, and will boost my power more than almost all the other Pantheons, except maybe the Egyptians" Gwen said, deciding the order of Pantheons that she would consume.
She also made sure that this wasn't immoral. And after looking into the actions of these Gods...she was absolutely certain they deserved it. Especially after seeing what they did to the Goddesses that they managed to capture.
Not good things.
With that in mind, Gwen teleported off to this universe, one thought on her mind as she did so.
'...Time to kill some Gods'
