[3rd POV]
Swinging through the city of New York, Gwen made her way towards the Queens. The target location being Aunt May's cave, where the Spider-Man of this world used to do all his work at, and where she had met the others the first time she had come to this world.
The cave should have the materials and technology needed in order to make the device that would be able to destabilize Spot. This destabilization aspect was only possible due to him being a walking talking portal, in essence. Portals can be "destabilized" and with the right technology, she could do the same.
It was done through a sort of "Two Negatives Equals a Positive" approach, with a "Frequency" of the same level as him, she could destabilize his portal form, returning him to a more "stable" position in which she would be able to take him out. And once he was taken out and brought back to her own universe, she could then absorb him, and get his powers.
Spot was one of the most important factors of Project Rebirth, due to his portal powers being immensely useful, even to her. As it would allow her to pull upon energies more than before, teleport to ranges she couldn't before, and potentially even allow her to travel to other multiverses, if the true aspect of his powers was what she was thinking it was.
She would have to absorb him immediately as she wasn't sure the exact extent of his power, and she would rather not risk him managing to free himself from any confines she places on him, or his powers depleting somehow. He was simply that important to her plans. He was also a huge threat, one that with her currently limited powers, she simply couldn't afford to underestimate, hence her creating a device to defeat him instead of brute force like she had been doing.
'The device shouldn't be too hard to make. I just need to hope and pray that May has all the supplies, otherwise this will be a pain in the ass to make. I'd have to break into Alchemax or one of the other huge corporations in order to get the supplies, and I really don't think I've got the time for all of that' Gwen thought as she grew closer to Aunt May's.
Eventually she touched down in front of her door, as she knocked. A few moments later, the door was opened, as a surprised May was standing there.
"Gwen! What're you doing here?" May asked in surprise as she looked at the hero from another multiverse, from what Miles had explained to her. It was a bit of a surprise, but it did explain a bit.
"Well...it's a bit complicated" Gwen started, as the woman stared at her, before chuckling.
"You need to use the cave, don't you? Peter always did have technology that you couldn't get without breaking some laws. C'mon, you can come and grab whatever you need, I'm sure you need it a lot more than I do" May said with a smile, as Gwen sighed in relief, and followed after the elderly woman, inwardly hoping that he had the tech she needed.

Turns out, Peter did have the tech she needed in order to create the Anti-Spot machine, but it was a bit different than what Gwen originally would have used. Thankfully, it was still going to work, just a bit different than she would have originally wished. It was now going to need a bit of time to "Prime" about 10 seconds or so, so not really that big of a deal, not for Gwen and the plan she had at least.
After making the Anti-spot device, Gwen had given May a hug and swung off to take care of the spot. And from what she could tell, he and the 30 or so spider people that had split off with her, were battling it out in downtown New York at the moment. And it wasn't just them, as Miguel was working with him at the moment, so that "canon" would remain.
Gwen didn't care about that though, as none of the spider people were a threat to her. It was only the spot she needed to worry about, and him alone. And as she grew closer to the battlefield, she noticed the shaking of buildings, and the destroyed buildings around her, as she turned a corner, and was faced with the spider people battling other spider people, the spot blasting Miles back as he blocked the way, where his father was running around saving citizens and getting them out of the way of the growing fight.
Seeing a strike nearly hitting Miles from one of Miguel's people, she swung rapidly towards him, before thwipping to the ground and landing a kick to the stomach of the spider person, as she launched through the skies towards him.
"Gwen! Did you get the device?" Miles asked, his mask's eyes widening at her appearance. He was happy that she was finally there, because they had been...well, struggling. With both Spot and Miguel working to stop them from saving Miles's dad and stopping Spot, it had become increasingly difficult to fight back against them.
"Yup, we just need to get him in one position and I can do the rest" Gwen said, as Miles glanced down at the device in Gwen's hand. It was the size of a plate and was flat like one. It was also glowing with several advanced looking smaller objects placed around it, wires and such as well. It was...complicated, and not something she could really explain.
"Alright, we'll coordinate to get him in one place. But you have to get that on him!" Miles exclaimed as he swung off, as Gwen webbed a nearby spider before they could land a blow against Miles, as he swung to coordinate with the others.
"Gwen! Get over here! You must stop this!" Miguel yelled as she turned, the man standing there with his mask on, but she could tell he was scowling underneath it.
"Yeah, not gonna happen Miguel. Sorry, but I'm stopping Spot and stopping this, and nothing you try will do anything about it" Gwen said simply, effortlessly rotating out of the way as the man threw a punch towards her, her own fist slamming against his elbow as he let out a yell of pain, as she broke his shoulder with ease.
Before he could even react, many more strikes slammed against various pressure points on his body, as he collapsed like a puppet with it's strings cut, falling to the ground with a thud, all happening within less than 10 seconds, as she glanced down at him.
"I hope you'll realize after this that I was right" Gwen said simply, as she walked past the man noticing that more of the spider people that were with Miguel were helping Miles to get the Spot in one place long enough for her to place the device on him.
She could see that there were a total of 35 spider people all working together to web him the best they could. Making a massive web of smaller webs to not allow him to get anywhere. And it seemed that the man was more focused on trying to kill Miles's dad, that he wasn't fleeing from the area when he likely could with ease.
'Idiot' Gwen thought, as she swung closer, invisible, and rotated mid air out of the way of one of the portals the man had made in an attempt to get out of the growing trap. Instead, she threw the device, as it landed squarely on him, a slow ticking sound similar to that of a clock sounding out.
Without giving him any time, she charged a blow of bio-electricity, and struck the man in the face, the device still working completely fine as the man was rocketed down into the ground, and before he could react, a kick landed against his body that was beginning to appear, and finally, talons appeared from Gwen's wrists, as they slammed into his shoulder and left hand, a screech of pain echoing as the timer stopped, and the Spot was whole once more.
"Wait wait wait! You can't do this! I was meant to win! I was going to-" "Yeah no I don't think so" Gwen said without a care, as her fist slammed against the side of his now bleach white skin, his portals no longer being able to protect him, as he was knocked into unconsciousness.
Staring down at the form of spot, Gwen glanced back at Miles who had a bright smile on his face, also noticing then notification in her vision.

So yeah, The spot wasn't supposed to be this super scary villain or anything, as he was...well, not really the strongest or anything. It was just his powers made him really annoying to deal with. But when you have the knowledge that Gwen does...well, it's not hard to find a way to deal with him.
This was more so an introduction to an important part of the Marvel volume that will be revealed in the next chapter.
