[Chapter Size: 2400 Words.]
Third Person POV
Great Britain.
...
...
"What…?
"By Merlin…"
"Are you feeling what I'm feeling right now?"
"Where is this coming from? What is this power…?"
People all over the world began questioning at the same time.
This was far more powerful than when Severus released his strength against Voldemort and his followers weeks ago, when he went into the trap in search of Lily.
Now, the whole world looked in that direction, feeling a chill shared by thousands of witches and wizards. Never having seen anything like it. The density of that magic was being released in its purest form.
It was something so powerful and intense that few wizards could even use their own magic to create explosions or auras around their bodies.
Dumbledore could do that, even making Hogwarts Castle shake when he unleashed his wrath. Voldemort could do it too, and did it constantly — no wonder all his followers were tense in his presence, shrinking involuntarily.
However, Severus was on a level completely different from everyone else, having shown himself even more powerful when he first released his aura, making every magic-sensitive person across Great Britain look in the direction he had been before he massacred the Death Eaters.
And what he was doing now was something many times more powerful, forcing people all over the world to look toward that small point in Great Britain — in an unknown forest in an unknown region — where the most powerful wizard of humanity was, at that moment, violently releasing his magical power.
The entire region was swept by a worrying force of wind. There were two villages near that area, and one of them was wizarding, with a small community living there among a bar, some shops, potion stores, and other simple places where people cultivated magical ingredients.
While the Muggle village was frightened by the sudden storm, running for shelter when there had been no news of something so terrifying that night — as heavy rain fell and dark clouds covered the entire sky —
In the wizarding village, there was much more concern than just the weather. They looked into the distance and could see a purple glow in the sky, while an enormous hole, which looked like a portal to another dimension, appeared above it. The center of that hole came from that glow.
"By Merlin…", some people exclaimed, feeling fear in their hearts. They had no idea what that was, but they knew it was extremely powerful and magical. It felt as if magic itself was being pulled toward that point from the entire world, as if their own magical cores were reacting.
"Someone call the Aurors! Report this to the Ministry! Whatever this is, it's dangerous! We're in danger!", another wizard exclaimed, while the clouds continued covering the entire sky of the region, hiding any view of the stars — leaving only the light of that purple point in the midst of the chaos.
The wind grew stronger. People tried to find shelter as the sky thundered.
Lightning began to appear, purple in color, striking across the entire region at once. This did nothing to help — the wizards were even more terrified.
The lightning grew more and more violent, the wind more ferocious, howling like a monster about to be unleashed. The purple glow intensified, and people were already in a panic.
Many began to flee.
Whatever was about to happen…
No one wanted to be there.
The wind exploded from that area and, soon, the clouds began to swirl like a massive hurricane, covering the purple light that descended directly onto the forest floor, while the glow remained inside the whirlwind, pulsing intensely.
And it stayed like that for a while.
The Aurors began to arrive, observing that disturbing sight while swallowing hard.
"Let me guess… By Merlin?" mocked an elderly man, clearly tired of hearing that phrase repeated since the beginning of that bizarre event. "By Merlin this, by Merlin that! That doesn't help at all! Tell me, what is that thing?!" the old man complained, while one of the Aurors looked at him with some displeasure.
"We'd like to know as well, sir," replied one of the Aurors, noticing that the man was an old, irritated pure-blood.
"You better do something about whatever that thing is!" the old man grumbled.
But before he could say anything else, the entire ground suddenly shook, as if the earth had been punched.
Everyone stumbled, several fell to the ground, and even the old man — previously arrogant — now looked at the scene with pure terror on his face.
The entire region trembled as what looked like a hurricane in the midst of a strange storm became even more violent, the wind whipping like blades. Everyone's hair and robes flew in the opposite direction, even from a relatively safe distance.
The purple glow increased in the middle of it all, illuminating the entire area as if it were an artificial sun.
The hurricane then began to change color — from dark to pure purple filled with magical light, transforming into a colossal pillar of light that rose straight into the distorted hole in the sky.
It was so bright that even satellites in space managed to capture the intense light coming from that dark patch of the earth, and anyone watching from outside the planet could see the intense glow.
"By Mer… Mer… Merlin…" stammered the same man who had complained about hearing that word earlier.
The Aurors themselves were terrified.
More and more of them began to appear in that village, all paling as they saw the surge of magic rising like an uncontrollable tower in the distance. Something they had never imagined witnessing in their lives.
The forest seemed to be disintegrating beneath the hurricane — trees flew, branches were torn off, and various debris was sucked into the center of the storm. Animals fled in every direction. Even roofs from distant houses began to be ripped off, tiles flying like projectiles.
Dumbledore himself appeared at that moment, his face heavy with concern, staring at the gigantic pillar of uncontrolled magical energy.
He instantly recognized whose magic that was — even though it was different now from what he remembered that man having. His eyes widened, reflecting the distant purple glow.
"Severus…" he said in a tone completely different from what he imagined he would use when speaking of that man.
It had been days since his disappearance, and everyone had been searching. A crisis had erupted, and now… there he was, appearing out of nowhere and causing an unprecedented magical chaos.
Dumbledore was truly worried.
"Quick! Let's create a shield around the village!" shouted one of the Aurors, while they all began casting magic one after another, forming a massive protective barrier that surrounded the place. The wind stopped hitting them directly, but the chaos outside the shield was still clearly audible and visible.
"There's also a Muggle village! We need to go now!" said another Auror, while the barrier was already beginning to tremble and crack under the absurd pressure of magic coming from the phenomenon.
Dumbledore continued watching, deeply concerned. Not even he could get close to that pillar of raw magic. He wondered how Severus had suddenly become so powerful. He wasn't like this before… and now he seemed completely out of control.
And why was he doing this? That question worried him more than the fact that Severus was a necromancer, possessing an army of the dead.
For a moment — and he hated this thought — he feared Severus had become a dark wizard, someone consumed by his own power. What he was seeing now seemed to confirm that.
But he had no time to reflect further. Suddenly, a surge of energy shot from the point below the hurricane, spreading through the entire region as if scanning the terrain.
The wave crossed mountains, rivers, and forests.
It passed first through the Muggle village… and then came toward the Aurors.
The barrier meant nothing. It simply exploded like a balloon when touched by the wave.
Everyone was hit. And disappeared in the same instant.
Dumbledore blinked — and was no longer in that region.
He was now several kilometers away, able to see the purple hurricane and the lightning from far in the distance.
But he was not alone.
All the people from the wizarding village and the Muggle village were there, teleported with him — along with thousands of animals, also brought by the spell. Even fish began falling into the nearby river, filling its waters.
"He… he teleported all of us…?" Dumbledore murmured, shocked.
That was magic on a level he had never seen before. He had just moved a group of dozens of people and thousands of animals and insects at the same time. Even fish from rivers had been transported.
"How is that possible?" an Auror beside him asked, equally horrified.
"I… I don't know…" Dumbledore replied, his voice low, almost faltering. He stared at the purple storm in the distance, feeling his heart race with fear.
That magic was far beyond anything he had ever witnessed.
Far beyond even the Severus from weeks ago, beyond his spells, beyond everything. It was as if he had become… a god of magic. He had moved an entire ecosystem in an instant, and for what? What was Severus's goal?
The glow at the center of the hurricane grew even more intense.
And then, in the midst of all that chaos, a sound emerged — almost imperceptible because of the wind, yet still recognizable.
"Hahahahahahaha!!!" A laugh.
Someone was laughing in there.
Severus was floating at the center of the hurricane, wrapped in a purple aura that made the atmosphere tremble, holding his staff while he laughed with his head tilted upward.
"Hahahahaha!"
It seemed as though he were mute, since the wind was far too strong for any voice to escape, but Severus didn't care.
He didn't need spectators — that show was just for him. Only him.
He was releasing the magic that was affecting the entire region using nothing but the raw power he now possessed.
It was an addictive feeling.
Powerful.
Something he had never felt before.
Not even as a member of the Order had he come close to wielding this level of power. Before, it had been only his skills, techniques, and physical strength that sustained his career. But now… beyond his powers, beyond his army… his shadows howled with euphoria at the ascension of their king.
He had reached a level he himself hadn't believed possible.
He had the power to destroy the entire region with a single careless move.
And he quickly realized that his control over magic had increased so much that he was beginning to understand things that had once been invisible — concepts, structures, laws of magic that had once been out of his reach.
His purple eyes opened a vision to a new world!
He could recite spells almost as if he were conversing with magic itself. He believed he could do anything now!!!
How was this possible? He didn't know.
Perhaps it was the new stage of magic he had entered… perhaps his more than 10,000 intelligence points… after he had obtained his second heart… maybe the orb… maybe the staff… or the combination of all of it.
Compared to his magic now, his other stats were second-rate — after all, he had almost ten times more intelligence than any other attribute.
Perhaps he shouldn't even be called the Monarch of Shadows anymore…
But rather…
The Monarch of Magic.
He laughed again as he remembered how he realized this moments before. He had spoken with mana… ordered magic itself to drag all living beings from the region, even insects, far away — because he hadn't even released all his power yet. He wanted to test it. He wanted to see how far his new limit went.
And now that no one else was at risk of dying from this madness… Severus began to release even more power.
The purple hurricane glowed with increasing intensity.
The wind was pulled with absurd violence, as if being devoured.
The earth itself began to pull away and crack beneath him.
Stones began to fly. Then, entire trees. Rivers were lifted upward in a stream toward the sky under the storm, while the lightning intensified, shifting to red as others remained purple.
And the entire forest began to be consumed by the hurricane, torn from the ground and dragged into the colossal vortex created by Severus Prince's aura.
Severus didn't know how much time had passed, but he continued releasing his energy flow at maximum, unaware that the entire region was being destroyed.
All the nearby forests quickly lost their top layer of soil, ripped away and thrown into the air.
The villages were also devastated, pulled by the colossal wind, while lightning fell like rain across the whole area.
The hurricane at the center was wrapped in purple and red lightning, as if the sky itself were collapsing.
It was the end of the world for everyone. Those who watched from afar paled the moment they began to understand what was happening, with the region being completely destroyed.
Severus continued for some time until, finally, he stopped.
The area began to calm as he canceled the flow of mana, withdrawing all that destructive energy back into himself. The hurricane dissolved, the clouds vanished, and the last bolts of lightning disappeared into the air.
Severus looked through the lines of rocks and debris, finally seeing what he had done. And the scene left him stunned.
In the region where he had been, there was nothing left.
The forest was gone.
The mountains had been torn away.
The villages — wizarding and Muggle — no longer existed.
There were no trees.
No structures.
No life.
The area had become a dead desert, brown and gray, filled with pulverized debris.
It was dozens of kilometers completely devastated.
Even Severus remained silent for a moment.
Then he looked up, and everything in the region began to fall now that the wind no longer held it aloft — a rain of debris began shortly afterward, while Severus remained there floating in the air.
The debris that fell toward him — stones and trees — collided against a golden shield that activated automatically within one meter of him, protecting him from all the falling wreckage.
He didn't care, because he stood there, eyes fixed on what he had just done, unable to avoid feeling shocked… by his own power.
