Miura stood in the middle of the street and held his handgun. He watched Saeko with a disturbing, wide-eyed grin. "I have seen you around school from afar," Miura said. "You were considered to be the Queen," he said as he fired his gun.
Saeko dove behind a thick concrete pillar just as a bullet sparked against the stone. She peered around the corner. "I have seen you around like a nobody, you are," she said coldly.
"I have seen the light," Miura shouted as he fired again. The bullet ricocheted off a nearby car. "We are the angels to usher in the new era, and you are standing in the way of it," he said.
Saeko pressed her back against the cold pillar. He's a fanatic, she thought.
Miura fired again at the round whistling past the pillar. "You cannot hide forever," he laughed.
Saeko didn't wait for him to reload. She surged forward from her cover. "How did you get here?" Saeko demanded.
Miura didn't answer with words. He simply smiled, a twisted, broken expression and fired his gun again. Saeko twisted her body mid-run, the bullet grazed her. She closed the distance fast.
Miura's eyes widened as she entered his guard. He leveled the gun at her chest and pulled the trigger one last time, but Saeko moved faster than his eyes could track. She side-stepped the shot.
With a single, fluid motion, Saeko swung her katana. The blade hissed through the air and chopped Miura's hand clean off at the wrist. The gun clattered to the ground which was still held in his severed fingers.
Miura stared at his stump for a heartbeat before the pain registered. He fell back as he held his arm as blood soaked his sleeve. "Aagh. Damn You," he screamed. He felt pain. There was blood flowing from his severed hand.
Miura looked at her. "Damn you," Miura said as he swung a clumsy, desperate punch with his remaining hand.
Saeko effortlessly stepped to the side and then raised her blade and slashed a horizontal slice across his neck.
Miura felt the slash. There was blood coming from He slumped to the ground and collapsed in a pool of his own blood.
Saeko flicked the blood from her blade. She looked down at his body. She thought how he could be here. He thought he was the same one for sure. "How did you get here?" she whispered to the corpse.
Meanwhile, Tsunoda and Rei both froze for a split second. Their eyes went towards the M4W and the Sliquifier lying on the cracked pavement between them. At the same instant, they both lunged towards the M4W.
They both held the weapon and were fighting for it. Their fingers were scrambling for the grip. Tsunoda snarled. "I am going to kill you all," Tsuonda said. "I have not forgotten what that reddish orange haired woman did to me," he added as he tried to pull the gun away from her.
She thought he was the same one as before. "Why are you here?" Rei gritted as she held the gun. "How could you get here?" she questioned.
"The light," Tsunoda shouted. "We are the angels sent to usher in the new era," he remarked with a twisted smile. "We are just the chosen one," he added.
Rei felt a surge of disgust. He looked at his twisted face. "You're insane," she said as she swung her leg and delivered a sharp, powerful kick into his stomach. It sent him backward.
Rei aimed the M4W rifle straight at his chest. "Back off, Tsunoda," she shouted. Don't move," she yelled.
Tsunoda didn't look afraid. He looked up with a dark, predatory smirk crossing his face. "You won't shoot. You're weak, Rei," he said. "Like back in the bus that reddish orange hair woman made the move," he laughed. "I'm going to capture you, all of you. And once the 'angels' have won, I'm going to have a lot of fun with you girls," he said.
Rei looked angry. Her finger tightened on the trigger. "Shut up," Rei said.
Tsunoda then ran forward. "Die," he shouted.
Rei pressed the trigger. The M4W roared. A high-velocity round tore through the air and struck Tsunoda`s body. The force of the impact threw him back into a pile of rubble, where he slumped over, lifeless.
Rei was panting. She stood there. Her hands were shaking as she lowered the gun. She thought she killed him. Her breath was coming in ragged gasps. She thought she had killed zombies. She thought she had killed people. Rei thought it was him or me. He wasn't going to stop, she thought.
Suddenly, a shadow fell over her. A bright flash of red light from the Ultimatrix illuminated the area, and Death transformed back into James.
James looked around and saw Tsuonda was dead. He looked to see Rei was shaking. He walked towards and pulled her into a tight, protective embrace. Without a word, he tilted her chin up and kissed her deeply.
Their lips met in a tender kiss.
James felt her soft lips. He thought although Rei was strong, she was still young and had a good heart. He reached over and held her. His arms were wrapped around her back. Her back felt smooth.
Rei closed her eyes. Her heartbeat quickened. She felt his lips. She felt his arms around her back. She melted into the kiss, the warmth of it chasing away the cold terror of the kill.
James pulled back slightly and looked into her eyes. "You had to do it, Rei," he whispered. "He wasn't going to give you a choice," he added.
As he held her, James thought she was still human. They are strong, he thought, but they aren't like me, Lefi, Musubi or Tsukiumi yet. He thought back to Yuuki. He needed to find a way to give them unique powers, like the Witchblade. He thought of the Ultraman Suit or even Bluebeatle Suit.
He kissed her again, more gently this time. Rei sighed against his lips. Her heart was finally slowing down. She looked up at him and managed a small, tired smile. She thought he was right. It is a war, she could not be so weak.
"Get a room, you two," a female voice said.
They both turned to see Saeko standing nearby as she leaned casually against a pillar. Her blade was covered in blood. "Danna-sama, I had to fight Miura," she said as before puckering her lips.
James let out a short, relieved laugh. "I'm glad to see you're safe as well, Saeko," he said. He opened his arm and Saeko walked in. He learned forward and kissed her as well. Their lips met.
James felt her soft lips. He thought back to back kisses. He had wrapped his arm around her. He pulled Saeko and Rei together.
Saeko moaned through the kiss. She felt his lips. She thought his hands felt strong.
James pulled back slightly and looked into her eyes. Saeko looked back. "Danna-sama," she said.
James could see her eyes were filled with love.
"I only wanted a few kisses to make the bad dreams go away," Rei said as she was shoulder to shoulder.
"Me too," Saeko added playfully. She turned and looked at James. "Danna-sama, they were in our school so they knew us but they were corrupted," Saeko said. "Someone is pulling the strings," she added.
James nodded as the sound of an explosion echoed from the next block. "We can discuss it later," James said. "We are going to need the Female Auto-bots`s help," he said.
They both nodded.
