Wayne and Dreyne were too familiar with each other, so he didn't make her shoulder the responsibility of being a knight and bodyguard. Instead, every time he came to the Dark Saintess Manor, he would take time to play cards with her.
After the soundproof barrier was set up in the master bedroom, Dreyne popped her head in, dressed in a white suit, sitting alone at the card table in the living room, picking up cards to hone her skills.
"Dreyne, are you that bored?"
Sukra's voice came quietly from the sofa.
Dreyne was puzzled, looked over in confusion, and exclaimed, "Goddess above, you're actually alive!"
Refusing to take the bait, Sukra closed the novel: "Playing cards alone is quite a failure. If you feel dissatisfied, you might as well go upstairs to join them."
Dreyne's eye twitched: "Sukra, I remember you are the Holy Maiden of the Death Church. Do you want to listen to yourself?"
