"Mr. Hawk!" Soruns' assistant Li Si looked at old Hawk in surprise, then quickly glanced behind him.
Old Hawk is here, so Mr. Soruns must have arrived too. After all, they're riding in the same car.
Not being at the door to greet them, is this considered a dereliction of duty?
Li Si did not see Mr. Soruns; behind old Hawk were just his own entourage.
"Don't worry, Li Si. Mr. Soruns went back to the residence to get something and will be here shortly. You can still make it in time if you wait at the door now." Old Hawk patted Li Si on the shoulder with a smile, "There's no more need for you here."
Old Hawk's tone was polite enough, but there was no doubt he was ordering Li Si.
This went beyond what a guest should say or do.
But Li Si knew that old Hawk was always like this, and Mr. Soruns did not mind his behavior.
