The yard was bought; next was renovation. An Yiqing didn't want to alter the original style of these ancient homes, so she spent a lot of money hiring a designer who added one floor onto the existing structure, turning them into two-story small buildings. That designer truly deserved to be called a top-notch creator of ancient style designs in the world; under his meticulous design, the courtyard's ancient and classical charm wasn't diminished at all, and the newly added elements fit perfectly.
A month flew by, and the last December of the year finally bid farewell in the tense busy period. A new year arrived, everything took on a fresh look.
The charity foundation of Xuanjin Yulong moved into the mansion, while the other five to six residences were all converted into inpatient departments of Xuanjin Hall. Each residence covered a considerable area, able to accommodate around a hundred patients. All these residences together could house nearly eight hundred people.
