Bliekon whirled around in shock, only to find that there was no one there. The shadow cast by her own two feet, however, had grown a shade darker.
"You…! Show yourself, you coward!"
All of her puppets were rushing back. It would take at least two minutes before the nearest combat-capable one returned.
But there were still others around.
—Crack! Boom!
A puppet crashed through the wall beside her room, dressed in a maid outfit and carrying a thin longsword.
It was Chilea, her personal maid.
Unfortunately… there was truly no one there.
Even with Chilea activating all the enchantments imbued into her body, there was no sign of the enemy.
Bliekon suddenly felt dizzy. The sudden rise of her heightened senses to the sudden relaxation upon realizing that there truly was no foe standing beside her had nearly made a mess of her emotional circuit.
"Damned human!"
