[KIYOMI]
"You ready?" Sakura asked when they pulled back.
Otaru had just left the room.
"I don't know. I have to fight, I guess. I just… I don't understand why she couldn't let everything be. I don't get it. What's the joy of a war when she knows she can never have you?" Kiyomi asked in frustration.
She had helped plan the war.
She had been there every step of the way, but there was no denying the fact that this was a war she hated with every part of her being.
But that never meant she wasn't going to fight for Doiwa.
It didn't mean she was going to stay on the sidelines while everyone fought for their home and her justice. She wasn't going to stand on the sidelines while everyone fought for her.
Maybe that made her the craziest woman in the room, but what the heck, right?
"You'll do well," Sakura said, and Kiyomi just smiled at her.
Of course, she would do well.
Of course, she had to do well.
It was just what being an executioner stood for, right?
