The monitor beside him beeped harshly as Kiyomi struggled to sit up.
She had to buy herself time for some reason, but the pain she was feeling was too much to the point that she felt trapped in some position she would never really be able to get out of.
For a moment, she wondered if this was utopia because surely her glands should have begun to heal. She should have started to recover. She had triggered her healing process, but nothing was working, and that terrified the hell out of her.
Of course, she was aware of what she had asked of Doctor Reina, but then this one was way beyond Reina's abilities.
Kiyomi was a powerful Lycan who had already had her 'rebirth,' however insane it had been. She had whatever was left of her skin and bloomed into a new one, yet she was still in so much pain.
That worried her.
But then she heard careful footsteps heading in her direction.
