[KIYOMI]
"It wasn't me. I am dying… well, it may have been me to an extent," Sakura laughed tiredly like this was funny, and Kiyomi glared at her. It was the only thing she could do at the moment, because frankly, Sakura was truly dying.
She knew it.
She could feel it in her bones.
That was the worst feeling that Kiyomi ever had. And now all that she had left was a hundred and one questions, most of which Sakura probably wouldn't even be bothered to answer, given the timeline that had been given was over.
"Why?" Kiyomi breathed desperately.
"Why what? You rejected me, and I accepted the rejection. Besides, my life is over, and yours is just starting. It would be cruel of me to stay linked to you when you have a good life ahead of you.
"Don't worry, I begged them to let you be happy," Sakura said nonchalantly, even though there was pain in her voice.
She didn't want to let Kiyomi go.
She didn't want to leave.
