[KIYOMI]
"Don't call me that," Kiyomi insisted.
Zara looked at her, wondering what was wrong with the title.
It was almost like watching a queen decline that which was hers.
Everyone in Sakura's circle knew the woman was vying for Sakura irrespective of what she did. They understood that she was all that Sakura wanted, even if they remained worlds apart.
But Kiyomi felt it differently this time.
Perhaps because she had just watched the most agonizing footage of her entire life, or maybe because this time, she didn't need a title to feel closer to Sakura. She didn't need to be revered in some way.
Honestly, the Princess of Death title was more appealing than the title she had gotten from being with Sakura. Maybe betraying Sakura was all she needed to end herself, just like the family she had been born into, right?
"But—" Zara tried.
"Kimura is just fine," Kiyomi insisted.
