Grace winced as her back hit the wall. The loud bang on the door scared her. She was afraid Dawn would suffer because of her, so she clenched her fists. She thought, 'I cannot let him suffer for my sake. His fate is already terrible; why must he face another trouble because of me? If this is what my fate dictates, then fine.'
She raised her gaze to look at the feral man before her and was ready to give in to his demands when the door beside her opened with a click. A calm voice said, "Did your parents not teach you any manners when visiting someone?"
Grace opened her eyes wide, and Onii and his men were stunned. They did not expect Dawn to speak like this. Given his initial image, the young man should be cowering in fear, but this was the opposite of that.
