Hao Ren issued the command and then he himself set off to handle a few things. While some cities were just under attack, there were some cities that have fallen down to the demon attacks. Hao Ren didn't want to just recapture twelve cities as a minimum standard, but he wanted to handle the demon cities as well, and then try to get out some information from the demon commanders, as they were old relics and probably knew where the demons all originated from.
Han Lingshi had also gone out to slay some demons with Ye Lan. They were both stronger together, and they have developed a way of fighting that was very suitable for them. Along with Ye Lan, they had Ye Yin in the fray as well, and the latter was even more ferocious than the two of them combined. Han Lingshi had told Hao Ren earlier, that unless Han Lingshi scolded Ye Yin, she didn't even let any demon run close to her, nearly drying out all the merit points that Han Lingshi wanted.
