The Hollow Watch party returned to Redbrook before midnight.
They carried rusted badges taken from the dead soldiers and a sealed jar containing the energy drained from the tower. The Royal Road Patrol accepted both, recorded the clear, and paid the party without declaring the ancient undead threat defeated forever.
The watchtower would remain quiet for several days. What was interesting was that if the instance wasn't cleared by at least one party each month, undead would eventually spill out of the tower and make a bigger problem. Right now, there were plenty of adventures running around the area looking for things to do, so it would most likely not be an issue for now.
The party's success produced the first Level Five instance record, but it did not place their portraits in the Hall of Achievements. Thousands of similar locations existed across Corathen, and Max had no intention of filling the hall with every cellar, ruin, shrine, and cave someone cleared.
