Chapter 58 - Chapter 21: Yava Viskan

Returning to the battlefield of the remaining Yava Viskans.

As the moon soon started to rise, the Yava Viskans soon started to rise from their places.

The majority of lifeless people soon got strength, but some were still afraid and remained still in their places.

"Are you coming?" one of the Yava Viskans asked the person beside him. "I..." That person tried to respond but was not able to mutter even a word.

"Okay." That person took a breath in disappointment while moving forward.

"I don't know much, but there is something which triggers these changes in us." He looked towards his artifact, which he held near his chest.

"I know I can still fight." His eyes glowed bluish with a green spark and his artifact reacted and formed a blade resembling a sword with a pointy edge.

He moved towards the beast who was held by his fellow Yava Viskans. The area was glowing bluish under their combined struggle.

"If you feel weak, remember where we came from; remember those who fell before us," the person marked by teeth shouted, claiming the head of another beast.

"GRAAAAHHH!!!" the beast started to roar.

Beasts started running towards their prey. The combined forces were enough to shake the land a bit, but no one cared for it.

"Those who have a fight left, CHAARGGEEE!!!!" the man marked by teeth shouted, cutting overpowering beasts around him.

Beasts toying with those survivors were not ready for such a sudden fight, and a few of them were killed in their confused state, but...

The area was soon turned into chaos.

The area was covered in flashes of blue and black as the beasts and Yava Viskans were face to face.

"No matter what, don't stop!" the man marked by teeth rushed into the herds of beasts.

His eyes turned bright bluish and his blade, moving swiftly, cut his foe.

"What happened?" He looked towards his blade in confusion, which was trapped in one of the beasts' bodies. The beast didn't wait and pulled his head apart. His voice was turned silent before he could utter a word.

Those who saw his death were afraid, but the majority of the people, unaware of what happened, continued their fight.

"Watch out!" one of the Yava Viskans warned another. He tried to dodge it, barely on time.

That person didn't wait much and stabbed his blade into that beast, but before he could finish him, the beast jumped on him. That person was crushed under five to eight beasts, and under their pressure, his body was crushing.

His eyes and nose started to bleed. The person who warned him tried to free him, but one of the beasts tried to bite him; it soon lost interest and resumed its attack on its pinned prey.

"No, I... I... I WILL NOT DIE!!!" That pressed man roared, his eyes turning bright bluish—the moment they were waiting for.

All the beasts started to pull his muscles and flesh apart. He tried to block but was weak against them. The beasts pulled and tore all his muscles from the neck area and then moved to the lower body.

He was eaten alive, but he didn't give up; he still held two beasts by their heads, but nothing worked.

Beasts pulled his body away and others tried to get their share. As more and more beasts started to pull, his body was torn apart, dividing into parts and flying across the area.

As the story of the strong turned silent, the weak were hunted.

"Carciyan, I can only hope now..." A man with tears in his eyes looked towards the beasts ignoring his existence.

His energy flickered in his eyes. Beasts moving by stopped and turned towards him but sensed nothing, resuming their movement.

"I... I am also..." That person was shaking, but soon his murmuring stopped as his energy resembled the glow of his friends.

"Remember my name: I am Helino Artha, Yava Viskan and carrier of their wills!"

The herd of beasts stopped, turning their gaze towards that person. Beasts slowly started moving forward while watching the steps of their competition.

Beasts charged towards him, then the fight began between them, but it was short-lived as the victor claimed his prize.

A beast pushed its mouth inside his chest area and pulled out his heart; without any wait, it swallowed it whole.

That Yava Viskan didn't cry in his final moment, but a smile was on his face and fear was in that beast's eyes as it saw a fraction of what was coming for them, reflected in its prey's eyes.

"Yeaaahhhh!!!" the remaining Yava Viskans roared; their combined voices exploded in the area.

Their flickering powers were unable to sustain themselves even for a fraction of a second, but they were afraid no more.

Those Yava Viskans who had a will to fight had formed a structure, holding the shoulders of each other, providing support to one another.Ignoring their defenses, they pushed forward. The beasts were so focused on that man they didn't notice what they were up to.

Beasts reacted, charging towards the Yava Viskans. The beasts cut a number of Yava Viskans, but they didn't care about the fallen anymore.

Before any Yava Viskan could be killed, another was ready to take their place. Within five minutes, the beasts started to slowly lose their ground; they were pushed so hard they weren't able to bite, and they were unable to use their claws to attack.

They tried to attack, but only the closest Yava Viskans were able to get some marks on them, which was not enough. The beasts moved their heads and tried to bite, but their heads weren't able to reach that human wall.

"AAHH!!" the Yava Viskans roared while pushing the beasts. The beasts were unable to do a thing; their feet were unable to touch the ground.

Even though the beasts were unable to do major damage to the group they grabbed, they scratched anything they could.

Several Yava Viskans' bodies turned lifeless, but the group pushed on. In the front lines, one Yava Viskan's body gave up, loosening their formation. The beasts' eyes turned towards him; they pushed into that area.

A beast slashed that body, trying to make an opening; that person's body, which was barely holding together, started to fall apart. Only a handful of muscle existed holding those parts together.

"Yaah!" one of the Yava Viskans roared; his spear-like thing moved through that dead Yava's body, piercing the beast.

A teen with shaking hands, his eyes filled with tears and fire. "Aahh!!" he roared, pushing his spear further inside the beast. The beast struggled, then exploded, splashing the black liquid across the area.

The Yava Viskans rushed to cover the gaps in the formation, pushing even harder than before. "Good work, we got this," someone said from the group. That boy was shocked and confused in his place.

A few Yava Viskans jumped over the human wall, rushing towards the herd of beasts, killing as many as they could with their flickering energy. But nothing turned out well for them as their bodies gave up at the critical moment, failing them.

A few marched towards death, but a few just focused on keeping their so-called formation alive. He was pushed back. He looked towards his shaking hands, then towards the herd of beasts.

He took his position, ready to throw the spear, but before he could...
