Chapter 54 - Chapter 19: Decisive Battle of fallen Yava Viskans Final Part

The scream made his face turn more and more pale. He quickly covered his ears, but no luck; the scream made a scene appear in front of his eyes. He started to vomit.

"Even if we survive, no one will come for us…" With these words, he fell silent. No one knew why he stopped—if he completed his sentence or not. A body fell to the ground near the area, making the speculation true.

"We cannot wait to die HERE!" One of them shouted, holding his relic in his hand, his eyes glowing in bluish light in that darkness. His relic, in the form of a spear, started to glow in the darkness. He raised his weapon and threw it, believing in himself.

A bright light released from the area near him, but before the spear could actually launch itself, the bluish light revealed a beast standing just a few meters in front of him. Before he could react, that beast bit his spear and moved it. With a single strike, something flew from there to the core of those people, followed by the sound of a body falling on the ground.

That item fell in front of one of the people who was on the ground. As she opened her eyes, she screamed and fainted on the spot. The head of the deceased was lying in front of her, its eyes looking directly into hers.

"Everyone hold on, we ca….." In the core of those people, one of them said while holding his relic in his hand. His relic, which was in the form of a sword. The area started to glow with his bright bluish-green light.

But as it happened to others, as soon as he illuminated the area, one of the beasts near him bit his head and upper part of his body, and his words stuck in the beast's body. With a scream, people moved a few steps back from where they were standing, but death had surrounded them in all directions.

"I will not go that easily." The beast's body released a sound, but it was mixed with other noise in the area, so no one noticed or paid attention to it. The beast tried to bite him, but the sword had pierced its lower jaw, making it painful to bite him. The beast tried to open its mouth to run, but one of the Yava's hands was holding him in his place.

His eyes were glowing inside the beast's body, but the beast's dark body hid it from everyone around him. With determined eyes, he moved his sword inside the beast's mouth, and next, the beast's mouth was on the ground.

Not waiting for long, the beast tried to run, however, with a single strike, its body was cut open in two. When the beast fell on the ground, a noise echoed amongst the people.

Suddenly, light started to return to the area. The first light fell on the place where he was standing. White light reflected off him in that darkness. His lower body was completely fine, as it was supposed to be, with minor scratches and cuts which might be from the running and moving.

His upper body was covered in blackish-red blood, rolling across his body. His upper body had bite marks from those beasts, and blood was rolling out of them.

However, the wounds were not too severe, and only a bit of blood was coming out of the wounded areas. His body had five to eight bite marks spread across his back, front, and his arms.

That person looked towards the source of light and fell to the ground in joy, but he quickly stood on his feet and shouted while raising his blade to the sky, his blade glowing in bluish-green color in front of the rising moon.

"Today we shall not fall! Today is the day of the full moon! WE CAN STILL FIGHT! FOR YAVA VISKANS!"

His voice roared in the area. His shout borrowed his emotions, and a strong shockwave moved out of his mouth, forcing beasts to move a few steps back in fear.

"As long as I can see them, I… I am in," one of them said, using his sword to maintain his balance. One of his arms was missing, but his eyes were filled with the desire to fight. "You aren't alone." Some of the people sitting on the ground also stood. "What are you doing?" people sitting with him asked, trying to stop him.

"I am too afraid of death, especially after witnessing what my people faced, but…" He deliberately stopped to kill a beast who was very close to him. After two to three strikes, the beast fell before even reacting to his attack; that beast was killed.

He continued, "When I chose to come here, I had already known what it means, and I have chosen it; no one forced this on me." He attacked another beast, but this beast countered him. They exchanged ten to thirteen attacks, but his weak body cannot stop that beast.

The beast's claws pierced his stomach skin, and he closed his eyes but opened them with more bright bluish light in his eyes. "I was not afraid of death, but afraid of my inability to see in dark, so I was hopeless, not for my death, but for being unable to kill them." He roared.

His sword moved brighter and faster, beheading that beast. He closed his eyes, this time to accept his death, but nothing happened. He looked down and saw, "You aren't alone, you see." He saw two Yava Viskans had held the beast's claws to prevent them from advancing further.

"Good! Let's do it!" That person marked by teeth shouted.
