Bel winced as she slowly opened her eyes. Her head hurt, her shoulders too, and she quickly discovered she couldn't move her hands or move at all. She tried again but could feel that her wrists were bound, as were her ankles.
She tried to scream and quickly discovered her lips wouldn't open. It didn't feel like her mouth had been tied or gagged; rather, her lips seemed to be sealed together. Bel's eyes widened, and she immediately began to panic.
She shook vigorously, trying to break free as she screamed from her throat, but it didn't take long for her to discover this method wouldn't work. She stopped moving and tried to breathe through her nose to calm down.
Bel then tried to turn, hoping she could roll away but only succeeded in moving to the side a little, which just made her arm and shoulder hurt. She returned to lying on her back as she tried to figure out what was going on. The last thing she could remember was trying to leave the tea room and then falling.
