Karl looks up at the now-closed hole, anxiety building in his mind. The fear of being trapped skyrockets. The entire place starts to shake again, and the pond trembles violently.
CRACK!
The hole blasts open as multiple purple vines launch toward Karl. Panicking, he tries to use levitating steps, but the vines are too fast. They coil around his hands, binding him. With force, he tries to pull free, but the vines are too tough.
"Get away!" He swings his Talwar clumsily, missing his target completely. From the start, Karl was never trained in swordplay, but he knew how to cut down his enemies. Using brute strength, he grips the vines and slashes them apart. Once his hands are free, he dashes back into a corner, senses on high alert, ready to fight.
The entire pond vibrates as square waves ripple across its surface.
'Waves? But there's no wind current?'
