Chapter 2 - Right Hand

"Feeling relief? That is intriguing. Normally, souls like you would already be reduced to barely a wisp of themselves. Your soul even resembles the body you controlled over time by now."

Link, or better to say the person who was inhabiting Links body and already forgot his old name long ago, turned around and watched the hooded entity that suddenly appeared and the the surrounding look like an empty galaxy surrounding them.

Many stars shone and illuminated the surroundings for both of them. But probably more so for Link than the entity that didn't have any features under the robes and hood that concealed everything.

"Can you still understand me?" The entity now asked.

"Is that a joke?" Link asked back after that stupid question.

"Good, that makes things easier. I don't need to pinprick those useless emotions inside you to get an answer then. Do you still remember me?"

Link somehow felt compelled to answer truthfully, even with the healthy amount of distrust he felt with this being.

"I don't think so..." Yet he could not recall anything. Actually, he felt something stir in his memories. "Wait....you are the one that got me into this shit."

"Yes, that is correct. Though I am surprised how you managed to stand as firm as you do now. After all, your wish was not exactly something a mortal would survive mentally."

"I remember! You fucker were the one who catapulted me into that repeating hell!! That was definitely not what I asked for!" Link shouted now.

"Language, child. And pray tell, what does 'I want to experience many adventures like Link' sound like to you then? I gave you the gift of fulfilling your wish."

"Like hell you did. You basically planted me into every shitty situation all of those Links would have died in. You cheated me."

The entity chuckled. "You still haven't learned that the mortal worlds are not so simple as you believe. I even gave you the option for other things to take with you, but you were so eager back then to go as is. No experience in fighting, not even the talent for it. Of course, the result would be as it is now.

"...." Link stayed silent but frowned.

"You don't remember everything it looks like. Well, not that you need those things now anyway. Now you learned the hard way. Talent and experience that were not there are now ingrained in your soul through brutality. But the cost was your time spent. I gave you a 80 years of lifespan, and you basically wasted it by dying in 32413 iterations of the world that you know of the hero of the Triforce."

"Fuck you....That was not what I wanted. I wanted adventure. Not...whatever this ended up in." He clutched his chest that felt like it was missing a piece. Looking down he saw a hole inside his spiritual body.

"Don't worry about that, it will knit itself back. The three goddesses were reluctant to let you go after seeing your sacrificial performances. Not to mention the princess in that particular iteration is a little necrophile nutcase. She probably already used that shard of your soul by now for something she is going to delight herself in in her private chambers. In a way, you got the princess, tiger."

Link's corner of his mouth twitched, hearing that.

Then he sighed. "What am I even here for now?"

"You still got 3 wishes as per the norm. Granting you the world as an iteration of Link is basically a freebe from me. But since you went rawdogging this whole thing last time, I will grant you 5. You'd better not be stupid this time around and chose something good."

The entity let a table appear with documents on it. "How about a world that is not completely boring and has a little bit of magic and mystic stuff. Somewhere, you can collect yourself a harem by buying some exotic demis from slave merchants? Even exploring dungeons for adventure is possible with infinite wealth, mana, and hero status, so that you can enjoy your life there. Beats the stuff you went through a hundred times over."

Link looked at the documents and suddenly felt even emptier than before. Not because of the world he was presented but because on the said table lay many documents about the previous world he died in.

How he knew that? Well, reading is a thing, and after reading what was described in said worlds, he just dipped made him furious.

It sounded like whatever he had done was inconsequential. Those worlds just went on to pick another poor bastard as 'Link' and push everything on that.

No matter how he damn died, it felt so unrewarding that none of those worlds even remotely suffered for it. Especially a certain number of them where he was betrayed and used like a slave. He died, sure. But at least he always believed that the world would always go down under without him. But it didn't seem that way and reading how those continued made him mad.

"No...I want revenge...." Link said.

The entity looked at him. "Sometimes letting go is the wiser choice, child."

"Then why show me these if you are not eager to see me act out what I want now?"

A hollow chuckle came from the god once again. "Choose 5 benefits you want. I will grant it without limitation. Let's see how far your mind can utilize this chance." He placed a clipboard with a pen in front of Link.

Link thought and wrote everything on the paper that he wanted and handed it to the entity.

"Let's see..."

"Huh...World Hopper. Well, that is a power of godly proportions....Granted." He made an easy tick beside that wish. "But the wills of the worlds you hop into will likely restrict you. Even we gods need to play by the books. Be careful when the world does not restrict you. It only means that there are things able to track and eradicate you or simply hinder you from leaving. So don't come crying to me if this does not work how you think it does."

"Game body
