Zhang Bin felt a bit depressed. He realized he had removed the bomb from the beautiful assassin's head for nothing. Her poisoning was far too severe; it was not something he could cure. Since that was the case, what good could possibly come from falling into her hands? Was he, after all his hard work and accumulating immense merit, really going to die so young?
Impossible. Absolutely impossible, Zhang Bin screamed in his heart.
A glint of wisdom flashed in his eyes as he asked coolly, "If that's the case, why didn't you take me back to your assassin's lair? Why are we staying in this hidden cave?"
"Is that even a question? My injuries are too severe, so I can't make it back that far," the beautiful assassin said. "Besides, you removed the controller, so I can't contact the leader. Otherwise, I would have already called him to come and heal me."
An odd smile touched Zhang Bin's lips. This Enchantress doesn't even bother to make her lies believable. She's trying to trick me.
