The sky gradually brightened, and Zhang Bin awoke.
He had planned to go home last night, but Yang Yiyi had flatly refused to let him leave. So, he had stayed, sleeping on her bed. Regrettably, Yang Yiyi didn't sleep there; she joined Mother Yang instead. Still, her bed was very comfortable and filled with a lingering fragrance, which gave Zhang Bin a good night's sleep.
"Chen Junheng, did you sleep well last night?" Yang Yiyi walked in, bringing a pleasant fragrance with her, and asked with a smile.
With her mother truly recovered from her illness, her mood was better than ever.
"Not well," Zhang Bin said. "It would have been much better if you had stayed and slept with me."
"You Big Bad Egg, all you know how to do is tease me," Yang Yiyi said coyly. She then pulled Zhang Bin out of bed, urged him to wash up, and the three of them began to eat breakfast.
The breakfast prepared by Mother Yang was lavish: porridge, corn on the cob, eggs, and noodles.
