"We are discussing work, of course... He wouldn't easily let a woman discuss work with him at this time and place, maybe I'm special." An Ning tucked her hair behind her ear.
Elizabeth stomped her foot angrily. "Do you really need to show off like that? Don't you think you're just being delusional? If Mo Ang was interested in you, why didn't he push me away when I leaned on him?"
An Ning thought for a moment. "Maybe he's mad at me?"
"Mad at you?"
"Yes, he wanted to marry me, but I didn't agree," An Ning continued.
Elizabeth couldn't believe it. "You're just daydreaming."
"Well, believe it or not, I'm telling the truth."
Elizabeth asked, "Since he wants to marry you, why didn't you marry him?"
An Ning smiled inwardly, thinking the question was right on point. "Because I don't want to betray my husband."
Elizabeth sarcastically replied, "Don't tell me you don't have anything going on with Mo Ang, I won't believe it."
An Ning shrugged. "Fine, I admit I had a thing with him!"
