Celestial Palace.
Alfred Weaver sat at his desk, holding a document, with a Celestial Palace guard reporting beside him.
The guard had waited for quite a while, but hadn't received any instructions from Alfred Weaver. Unable to resist, he quietly looked up, only to find Alfred Weaver's gaze was still on the paper, but he appeared motionless.
Was he lost in thought?
The guard tentatively called out, "Sir?"
Alfred Weaver suddenly raised his gaze, as if snapping back to reality, and instructed the guard, "I need to think about this, you may leave for now."
The guard was somewhat puzzled. Wasn't this a routine procedure, a routine report? Why did it require consideration?
"Yes!"
The guard left with a puzzled heart, leaving only Alfred Weaver alone in the room.
Alfred Weaver's aloof expression suddenly crumbled. He covered his face with his hands, and his face flushed slightly.
How embarrassing.
He actually lost focus in front of his subordinates.
