"Welcome back, Uchiha-san."
As Kaito stepped through the gates of the main residence, Kagaya Ubuyashiki was seated in his wheelchair, gazing at the wisteria flowers in the courtyard, accompanied only by his wife, Lady Amane.
Turning to see Kaito enter the courtyard, a gentle smile spread across his face.
"How was it? Are you satisfied with the condition of the Nichirin Blades preserved in the Swordsmith Village?" He asked with a smile.
"Not bad. Aside from those damaged in battle, they're mostly well-preserved." Kaito raised the old blade in his hand.
"And I even acquired this special find."
He recounted the details of his trip to Ubuyashiki.
"I didn't expect that doll to hide such a story," Ubuyashiki said, glancing at the old blade with interest. "But with the demons currently restrained under Muzan Kibutsuji's command, awakening this blade's spirit might not be easy."
Kaito shook his head, smiling. "That's not an issue. If I deliberately search, I can easily track down a demon. Worst case, I can seek assistance from the underworld."
"It's good that you already have a plan," Ubuyashiki nodded.
"Let's set the matter of this blade aside for now." Kaito's gaze shifted to Lady Amane, who stood quietly behind Ubuyashiki. "I'll need some other materials, and Lady Amane might be the only one who can help."
"Please go ahead and tell me. If I can assist, that would be wonderful," Lady Amane said with a gentle smile.
Kaito asked, "As far as I know, you come from a family of shrine priests. Do you have any connections with the Ise Grand Shrine?"
Lady Amane showed only a fleeting moment of surprise before nodding lightly without asking further questions. "As long as it's not too difficult, my family should have some influence."
"It's not too complicated," Kaito said. "I need some wood that has been sanctified near the shrine."
"I understand," Lady Amane replied. "I'll arrange for it to be sent as soon as possible."
"Thank you very much," Kaito said with a smile, expressing his gratitude.
"No, you're the one helping us," Lady Amane said politely, giving a slight bow.
"Then it's settled. I'll head to the Butterfly Mansion to check on Mr. Kamado."
Kaito waved to the couple and left directly.
…
The Butterfly Mansion.
When Kaito stepped into the courtyard, he found it completely empty, with not a single person in sight.
"Hm?"
Just as he was about to extend his senses, a burst of cheers came from the direction of the training hall.
He smiled and walked over, stopping at the entrance of the training hall.
Inside, several Hashira were gathered, seated on the floor along the sides.
In the center of the room, two figures wielding wooden swords were engaged in a fierce duel.
It was Giyu Tomioka and Tanjuro Kamado.
Kaito watched the duel with interest. Though the fight appeared intense, in his eyes, it was clear that the frailer Tanjuro held the upper hand.
Even when Giyu unleashed his original technique, Water Breathing's Eleventh Form: Dead Calm, he could only barely keep up.
Kaito understood—this was the power of the Transparent World, akin to combining the Byakugan's x-ray vision with the Sharingan's insight.
Though he wasn't a martial artist, he could achieve the same through his superior spiritual energy.
"Snap!"
Tanjuro deftly wielded his wooden sword, skillfully disarming Giyu and leaving him wide open. The tip of Tanjuro's sword then lightly touched Giyu's throat.
"I lose," Giyu said, maintaining his usual stoic expression, conceding cleanly.
Tanjuro gave a gentle smile and withdrew his wooden sword.
"Thank you for the lesson."
Giyu bowed and silently stepped back.
Tanjuro Kamado, about to say something, was left slightly awkward by Giyu's abrupt retreat.
"Dad won!!"
"Awesome, Dad won again!!!"
"Dad's the best!!"
The Kamado family's three boys, varying in size, cheered loudly, breaking their father's awkward moment.
"You really are strong, Mr. Kamado!" Rengoku, kneeling on the floor nearby, said with wide, round eyes, his voice booming. "No wonder it's the Transparent World!!"
He gripped his ever-present Nichirin Blade tightly.
"I've made up my mind!"
He bowed deeply with a loud declaration. "Please guide me!!!"
"No problem," Tanjuro replied warmly. "Everyone here is fighting to eliminate man-eating demons. Ever since I learned about this, I've wanted to help, but my frail body held me back…"
He suddenly turned toward the training hall's entrance and bowed deeply.
"I haven't had the chance to thank you in person, Uchiha-san. Thank you for your help."
He raised his head, his hanafuda earrings swaying gently.
"To notice me so easily? As expected of you, Mr. Kamado," Kaito said, smiling as he stepped into the training hall.
"It's really Uchiha-san!" Tanjiro, sitting in the corner with his two younger brothers, looked at the white-robed youth entering silently with awe.
Feeling the warmth in their gazes, Kaito turned and smiled at the three boys.
"You're still way above from my level. After all, it seems you've been standing there for a while," Tanjuro said humbly, still in the center of the training hall.
"Hmph, even the Transparent World wouldn't help if the target's a ghost," Sanemi, leaning against the wall, muttered under his breath.
"How rude, Shinazugawa-san," Kaito said, his sharp ears catching the comment as he turned to the hot-tempered Wind Hashira.
"Tch."
Sanemi met Kaito's gaze for a second before looking away.
Kaito's smile widened as he glanced at the other Hashira.
"I came to check on Mr. Kamado's condition," he said. "It looks like you're recovering well."
'Good.' The spiritual energy he'd left in Tanjuro's body hadn't gone to waste.
"I owe it to you and the two Kocho sisters," Tanjuro said.
Kaito nodded. "At this rate, you should be in peak condition before the final battle."
After confirming Tanjuro 's health, he left without further interrupting the swordsmen's training session.
…
Standing outside the Butterfly Mansion's gates, Kaito held the old blade in one hand, looking toward the path ahead.
Come to think of it, he'd been in this world for so long but hadn't taken the time to properly explore its differences.
With some time to spare, it was about time to wander and take a look.
He gave a slight smile, stepping forward at an unhurried pace, yet his figure soon vanished from sight.
