Sasuke manipulated the colossal bow in Susanoo's hand, nocking an arrow wreathed in black flames.
"An Uchiha?"
Hashirama, while maintaining the Four Red Yang Formation, looked up at the sudden appearance of the towering entity and laughed with unshaken boldness.
"I never expected the Uchiha clan to produce another genius who could rival Madara!"
"Inferno Style: Susanoo Kagutsuchi!!"
Susanoo's right hand released the bowstring, and the arrow of black flames streaked across the sky, striking the Ten-Tails directly.
"Aaaaah—!!"
The Ten-Tails let out a piercing shriek, its body convulsing as countless bulges formed across its skin, rapidly spawning more split clones.
Far behind the battlefield, Sakura—who was urgently treating the wounded—suddenly raised her head, sensing something.
"That's… Sasuke!!"
Though her expression flickered with excitement, her hands remained steady as she continued channeling medical chakra into the injured.
"Hey! What's your relationship with Sasuke?"
A hostile female voice cut in.
"Heh, maybe she's Sasuke's girlfriend back in Konoha?"
A teasing male voice followed.
Sakura looked up to see a red-haired girl with glasses glaring at her, clearly displeased. Beside her stood a blue-haired boy with shark-like teeth, grinning as he casually rested a familiar giant sword on his back.
But Sakura had no attention to spare for the sword. The moment she saw the red-haired girl, her internal "rival radar" blared at full alert.
"Ah," she replied, maintaining her healing while forcing what she hoped was a graceful smile. "Me? I'm Haruno Sakura, Sasuke's teammate from the same squad."
The redhead, Karin, scoffed and retorted defiantly, "Oh, so you're the one Sasuke left behind in Konoha. I'm Karin, his current squadmate."
The deliberate emphasis on "current" made Sakura's smile twitch, a vein nearly popping on her forehead.
Taking a deep breath, Sakura replied sweetly, "I see. Has Sasuke been doing well lately? I've always been worried about him. After all, I've known him since we were six years old."
Six years old?!
Karin also inhaled sharply, suppressing her irritation before countering with a fake smile of her own. "Sasuke's doing great now. Maybe it's because he's found better teammates—he's way happier than he ever was in Konoha!"
"Hah?"
Sakura finally finished healing and stood up, emphasizing, "I'm sure Sasuke's happiness comes from reuniting with his family!"
"Speaking of which," Karin's cheeks flushed slightly, "Sasuke's uncle, Lord Kaito, actually approves of me. He even had Sasuke train with me!"
What?!
Sakura's jaw dropped, her entire figure momentarily draining of color.
"Uh…?" Suigetsu's voice cut in, "Didn't he just say that 'cause you kept getting your ass kicked by Sasuke?"
His face was the picture of genuine confusion.
Damn you, Suigetsu!!
Karin's fists clenched in rage.
"…"
Sakura instantly regained her composure, shooting Karin a disdainful glance before turning away to resume treating the wounded.
Karin slowly turned her head, locking Suigetsu in a death glare.
"ROOOAAAR—!!"
At that moment, the Ten-Tails' deafening roar shook the battlefield, drawing everyone's attention.
"Aaaaah—!!"
The monstrous beast tilted its head back, jaws stretching to their limit as it spat out a massive red sphere—larger than its own head.
"This is bad!"
Inside the barrier, Hashirama sensed the overwhelming threat and bellowed, "FALL BACK—NOW!!"
The red sphere began unfolding like a blooming flower, layer by layer.
But the shinobi who had already charged into the barrier were trapped, surrounded by the Ten-Tails' clones, unable to retreat in time.
"Tch."
Sasuke maneuvered Susanoo into the fray, frowning at the sea of writhing clones beneath him.
"Inferno Style: Yasaka Magatama!!"
Susanoo's arm swung, scattering countless black-flame magatama that ignited upon impact, instantly clearing a massive swath of clones.
"Retreat!"
Susanoo wielded its colossal bow like a shield, covering the shinobi as they fled toward the barrier's exit.
"ROOOAAAR—!!"
The "flower" from the Ten-Tails' mouth had fully opened, revealing a gaping black void at its core.
BOOOOM—!!
The air inside the barrier trembled violently as an unfathomable energy gathered within the abyss.
"GO—!!"
Sasuke fought while retreating, ensuring an escape route for the others.
"That's…!"
Shinobi across the battlefield froze, their gazes snapping toward the barrier.
"SASUKE—!!"
Karin abandoned all caution, sprinting toward the epicenter, Suigetsu close behind.
"Sasuke…"
Behind her, Sakura's eyes widened, tears spilling unchecked. Though her hands never faltered in healing, her teeth had already drawn blood from her lower lip.
"Tch."
Neji's cursed seal markings flared as he weaved through the clones at blinding speed.
"Damn it!"
Kakashi's Mangekyō Sharingan activated as he dashed toward the barrier.
"Uchiha brat!!"
Hashirama, closest to Sasuke, summoned Wood Clones to aid the trapped shinobi.
By now, the red energy sphere inside the Ten-Tails' "flower" had grown cataclysmically large.
"There's no time! Brother, seal the barrier—NOW!"
Tobirama's voice was merciless.
Sasuke glanced helplessly at the remaining shinobi before Susanoo's wings unfurled, launching him toward the exit.
The Ten-Tails' energy sphere grew increasingly unstable. Nagato, standing atop the beast, sank into its body for protection.
"SEAL IT—!!"
Tobirama roared again.
Hashirama's eyes swept over the countless shinobi still near the barrier before he clenched them shut.
"Forgive me!!"
With a final shout, he sealed the barrier.
"Hokages!!" Hashirama bellowed. "HOLD THE BARRIER—!!!"
The next instant—
An explosion of apocalyptic scale erupted within.
BOOOOOOM—!!!
The world went white.
The earth trembled violently.
The crimson barrier bulged from the energy surge within.
The four Hokages maintaining the Four Red Yang Formation roared in unison, veins bulging as they strained to keep the barrier intact.
BOOOOOOM—!!
Another deafening blast—the energy, unable to breach the barrier, erupted skyward through the unsealed top.
The rectangular barrier now resembled a balloon venting pressurized air.
"SASUKE—!!!"
Sakura's anguished scream tore through the chaos, her once-steady hands now shaking violently.
"SASUKE—!!!"
Karin's legs gave out mid-sprint, sending her skidding across the ground.
"Hey… No way!!"
Suigetsu stared in disbelief at the most powerful Tailed Beast Bomb he had ever witnessed.
"Damn it!!"
Neji's Byakugan flared, fractured light shimmering in his pupils.
"At a time like this…" He clutched his eyes. "…Too late?!"
"Kakashi, snap out of it!"
Guy kicked away a clone lunging at Kakashi, his voice laced with concern.
But Kakashi stood frozen amidst the chaos, as if numb to the world.
